Question:
Greetings, I am considering the 66024 as a solution for weight distribution. I tow with a 2008 Toyota Sienna with a Class III hitch that has a 2 inch reciever and a rise of 5+ inches on the shank. I tow a Flagstaff 246D popup which is has a GVW of 2988 a hitch weight of 238 and is just over 17 foot long total. After reviewing the installation insttuctions I think that the battery box which is mounted on the drivers side of the A fram platform will be in the way of the slide bracket and retaining plate. I know that the 66041 that utilizes U bolts will not work as there is a metal plate mounted on the A frame of the camper to hold the LP bottle and Battery. Is there another product that you suggest or is there something that I could do to raise the battery so the retaining plate will work below it? Thanks for your help in advance

You could take the trailer to a welder or fabricator that can relocate the battery box. I think the better solution is the Single Bar Weight Distribution Kit for A-Frame, part # RP66069. It is designed to work around LP cylinders and battery trays by going underneath the trailer frame and attaching to a lift unit rather than the trailer frame. I have added a link to the system and the instructions below.
