Have you had experience or info using the unit to adapt a m/c trailer lights to a 2005 BMW R1200rt with CAN-BUS ?

I can honestly say that I have little experience with BMW motorcycles. With that said I am not certain how a powered converter like the Upgraded Circuit Protected Modulite, # 119176KIT, would work with a controller-area network and the computer on your BMW R1200RT.
The 119176 was designed to prevent feedback and error messages on vehicles using pulse width modulation. If your bike has PWM, a multiplex wiring system, or a 2 or 3 wire system, the unit should work with LEDs, incandescents, or plain bulbs on the bike and trailer.
I spoke with my contact at Tow Ready for a second opinion, and he stated that the 119176KIT has not been tested on a BMW R1200, but he could not think of any reason why it would not work.
