Which transmission cooler is recommended for a 2005 Toyota Avalon. The most I will be towing is 1500 lbs.

Expert Reply:
A Class II or a Class III Transmission cooler would be sufficient. You could use the D13502 that you were looking at, but it may be a bit big or cumbersome to fit and install easily.
I would probably use the Class II, part # D13501 from Derale. It is a bit smaller, 11 inches wide, 5-3/4 inches tall and 7/8 of an inch thick. Make sure you have room either in front or behind your radiator for this cooler to lay flat against. I have also added a link to a video of a cooler being installed on a 2006 Honda CR-V so you can see the process if you will be installing this yourself.
