Question:
Is the maximum weight of 150# OK for use on a Dodge Dekota pickup truck? Is it dry enough to travel with clothing for long distance? Thanks.

The Thule Transporter Combi Hitch Mounted Enclosed Cargo Carrier, # TH665C, will fit on your Dodge Dakota if it has at least a Class II hitch. You will need to check the tongue weight capacity of your hitch and the capacities of the truck in your owners manual.
If you do have a Class II or higher hitch, then the 150 pounds capacity plus 70 pounds of the carrier will equal 220 pounds. A Class II hitch can typically handle 300 to 350 pounds of tongue weight capacity; more than enough for this application.
The box is weather resistant but not weather proof. It is recommended that anything you want to ensure stays dry, you place in watertight plastic. I have included a video review of this box below.
