Using 4-Pole Trailer Adapter Part # 118384 for Tailgate Light Bar on 2008 Silverado

Question:

I have a 2008 Silverado with tow package and the 7-way mounted connector. Im trying to avoid splicing for a tailgate light bar that needs a flat 4-pin connector. The way I understand it this plugs inline between the connections for my 7-way behind the bumper, and provides the auxillary 4-pin I need for the light bar. Am I right? Thanks...

You are absolutely correct. The 4-Pole Trailer Adapter part # 118384 would plug inline to the connector for your existing 7-way trailer connector. If you need a mounting bracket for the 4-Pole, we offer part # 18144.
