I can tell you how to find the brake switch stop light wire on your 2006 Nissan Pathfinder. The brake switch is located above the brake pedal, under the dash. It will have numerous wires running into it. There will be any number of colors. There is a chance that the wire is red with a green stripe but wire color is not an exact science, and manufacturers might up and change the color in the middle of a model year. Since I cannot say what color the wire you need will for sure, you can find it using a circuit tester like the Quickee # 3808.
Using the circuit tester, probe each wire on the brake switch until you find the one that carries a signal ONLY when the brake pedal is pressed. When the pedal is released, there should be no signal. Press it again, and there should a signal again. Once you find that wire, attach it to the red wire on your brake controller and you will be done. I have included links to two FAQ articles on brake brake controllers and the installation of brake controllers that might help.
