Question:
Regarding item #63155: would there be any problems using this cargo carrier on my 1994 Volvo 850 wagon? Or is it just for SUVs? Thanks.

Expert Reply:
Cargo carrier 63155 would be a good fit for your 1994 Volvo 850 as long as you have a class II hitch with an 1-1/4" hitch opening.

Question:
Thanks for getting back to me. I have a couple questions, if you don't mind (regarding a 1994 Volvo 850 wagon): - Regarding hitch #36262, how far is the receiver recessed under the car from the back of the rear bumper? I ask, because I see there's a matter of clearance, when a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, such as #63155, is used. - What is the ground-to-hitch-ball height, when drawbar kit #36061 is used with hitch #36262?

Question:
I do not have an exact measurement of how far back the hitch sits. Carrier 63155 has 11" of clearance, so that should be enough to clear your bumper. Since we do not have a Volvo 850 available for me to measure, I can tell you that the ballmount recommended for your vehicle will put your hitch ball at the most common trailer height, which isusually around 17". This does not mean that it will be the correct ballmount for you--you will need to measure to make sure it will give you the correct rise or drop. What's the problem? Don't you have a vehicle of every year, make, and model on which you test your equipment? I kid, of course. Thank you for responding so quickly.
