Options for Moving Around a Trailer with Dry Weight of 2,900 Pounds and 400 Pounds Tongue Weight
Question:
I plan on purchasing a 16foot travel trailer. Unloaded weight is about 2900lb and dry hitch weight is about 400lb. I am interested in Trailer Valet Trailer Valet Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover - Topwind - 15inch Lift - 500 lbs to move the trailer around. Will trailer valet do the job or do you have any other recommendation?

As long as the tongue weight of the trailer does not exceed 500 pounds with the trailer loaded and ready to tow and the frame has space for the jack then the Trailer Valet # STC-V211 is a great option.
The other option is to use a trailer dolly, # MT70225, which has a 600 pound tongue weight capacity. With it, besides the tongue weight capacity limit, you are only limited to the amount of trailer weight you can move around.
