Question:
For the transporter hitch, is it a 1 1/4 or a 2 hitch when used without an adapter. I have a 2 hitch and I dont want to extend the distance between Pilot and the carrier by using an adapter to make it fit.

The adapting piece on the shank of the Thule Transporter Enclosed Cargo Carrier, part # TH665C is a sleeve that slides over the shank. This adapting piece does not increase the length of the shank, and would not place the Carrier further away from the vehicle.
The photos in the product description shows the Transporter installed on a Nissan Pathfinder with a 2 inch receiver, a similar sized vehicle to yours.
