Reese Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for a 2003 Ford F-350

Question:

Hi there, I have a 2003 F-350 8ft with a Lil RockR 15K 5th wheel hitch. I have a 2011 Open Range 280RLS 5th wheel - base weight 7870 plus max carrying weight 2305 hitch weight 1375. Im considering the purchase of one of the following: Pro 30855, Reese 30047, or Reese 30866. Will my current bed rails work with any or all of these new hitches? According to your website the Universal rails RP30035 can be used with any of these three new hitches. According to your expert advice at rails can be used for a Lil RockR 15K. So I dont want to replace the rails unless I absolutely have to, and the article cited above leads me to believe my existing rails will work. Id appreciate your help with this matter. Thanks.

The rails you have in the bed of your 2003 Ford F-350 that you used with your RBW Lil Rocker fifth wheel hitch would have to be industry standard rails. So any of the hitches you referenced would work well.

I would go with the Titan 16 part # RP30866 though as it has a cushioned head and a 360 degree contact jaw design. It would work great with the weight of your trailer as well as it has more than enough capacity. Check out the review video I attached as well.
