I would recommend the Tekonsha P2 Brake Controller With GM Adapter # 90885-3025P, which includes the brake controller and a plug-in brake control wiring adapter that will allow you to simply plug the controller into your vehicle connector, located in the black box under your dash.
If you already have a factory-installed 7-Way plug, no additional parts would be needed, but if your 2002 Chevrolet Suburban is not equipped with a 7-Way plug, you would also need to install 7-Way connector # 30955.
I have included the installation instructions for the brake controller kit, as well as a video demonstrating an installation of the # 30955 connector, if needed.
