whats the best truck bike rack for a 2006 scion tc hatchback? Im looking for a 2 bike rack with anti-sway bars. i would need the rack to fit a female bike do i need an adapter bar

Thule does not recommend the use of the rack you have referenced (TH910XT) because the top straps should not be mounted directly to glass or plastic trim covering glass. But never fear, SuperJoe is here.

For your 2006 Scion tC, I recommend the Yakima SuperJoe Pro 2 Bike Trunk Mounted Rack, # Y02629. I have included a link to the instructions for this rack below. There are also some specific directions you will need to follow in order to install the rack properly on your Scion:

Place the upper strap hooks at the top edge of trunk, hatch lid, or rear door.
Outer/lower support frame rests on the trunk lip, hatch lid, or rear door.
Place the lower strap hooks at the bottom edge of the trunk, hatch lid, or rear door.
Side strap hooks to back side edge of trunk, hatch, or rear door next to tail lights.

The SuperJoe Pro 2 has anti-sway cradles, will hold two bikes, and has a capacity of 60 pounds. In order to install this rack on your Scion, you will need to use Glass Hatch Hook Adapter for Yakima Joe Series Trunk Mounted Bike Carriers, which are included with the rack. I have included a link to the installation details for these adapters below.

An adapter bar is recommended for use with a womans or alternative bike frame. Yakima has the Tube Top Bike Adapter Bar, # Y02531 for this application. I have included a video review of this adapter bar below.
