Yes, I would be happy to give you an explanation on the installation procedures for installing a transmission cooler. Installing a transmission cooler on your 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan, like the Derale Transmission Cooler, # D13502, is not as difficult as it perhaps sounds.
There are three possible mounting points for the cooler, and it plugs in line with the hoses already on the vehicle. If you have enough space, the most efficient mounting location is between the vehicles grille and the AC condenser core. The next best location is between the condenser core and the radiator. Efficiency will be cut by 25 percent. The least efficient place to mount the cooler (cut by 40 percent) is between the radiator and the engine. If you must use this location, it is recommended to use a larger cooler to make up for the lost efficiency.
You mount the cooler by using the hardware included. You will run the long, wire tie like strands through the cooler and through the condenser, fan, or where ever you end up mounting it, and secure it on the other side with the little button clip. There are small rubber pads included to separate the cooler and the component it is mounted to.
Next you use the included hose and valve. One end of the cooler accepts fluid from the radiator, the other end and hose allows you to route the cooled fluid back into the system. It all plugs in line. After installation, you will want to check and top off the transmission fluid. I have included a link to an installation video below that explains the process well. I have also included an FAQ with even more valuable information on transmission coolers.
