I have a proportional Prodigy bracke controller I bought a while back, I am ready to install it in my 1971 Ford F350 flatbed. Can I get some installation instructions?

Expert Reply:

I have included a link to the installation instructions for the Prodigy brake controller # 90185, as well as some additional information that should be useful.

The instructions will not be vehicle specific, as you will need to hardwire to install the brake controller on your 1971 Ford F-350.

You will need to connect the 4 brake controller wires as follows.

White: Ground wire, attached to a suitable mounting location on the vehicle frame.
Black: 12v lead wire, attached to the vehicle's positive battery terminal with a 20amp or 30amp circuit breaker.
Blue: Electric brake wire, attached to the electric brake wire on your vehicle 6 or 7-way connector.
Red: Stoplight switch wire, connected off the vehicle brake pedal on the wire that gets power when the pedal is pressed, and has no power when the pedal is released.
