Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2007 Scion tC
Today on our 2007 Scion TC, well be installing the Tow Ready T-One Connector, part number 118484. After opening our rear deck lid, well need to remove the rear cargo area by removing all the floor coverings, the cargo trays, the plastic threshold cover, and the access panel. Well need to be careful not to damage any of the clips or screws. We can then route the T-connector up to our tail light. We can then locate the vehicle harness where our T-connector will attach. Well separate the vehicles wiring connector, being careful not to break the locking tabs.
Trailer Hitch Installation - 2007 Scion tC - Hidden Hitch
Today on our 2007 Scion TC, well be installing Hidden Hitch, part number 60213. Now before we begin our installation, here are a few measurements to help you with selecting accessories such as a cargo carrier or a bike rack. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 10-3/4 inches, and from the center of the hitch pin hold to the outermost part of the bumper is 4 inches. Now lets go ahead with our install. To begin our installation, well need to remove the two plastic rivets that fasten the fascia tabs to the vehicle. After weve done that, well enlarge the access hole on the passenger side of the frame rail in order to allow us to install our spacer.

Before we begin our installation, here are a few measurements to help you with selecting accessories such as a cargo carrier or a bike rack. Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2007 Scion tC
Today on our 2007 Scion TC, we'll be test-fitting the Curt 20x48 Cargo Carrier, part number C18145. Now all we need to do to install the cargo carrier to the vehicle is slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install and tighten down the anti-rattle bolt. Now our cargo carrier is secured to the vehicle and we're ready to load it up. At this point, we can give you a few measurements. Now the closest edge of the cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle is two inches, and the cargo carrier will add an additional 21 and a half inches of over-all length to the vehicle. Now the exhaust on the Scion TC, exits the passenger rear, and is approximately 6 inches from the cargo carrier platform.

- Trimming the rear fascia is not required in the instructions for Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24815. I have linked the instructions for you to view. - For a muffler, the size of the model that comes with the MagnaFlow exhaust for a 2011 Scion tC measures 5 inches tall, 8 inches wide, and 20 inches long overall with a 14 inch long body. It also has 2-1/4 inch inlet/outlets. A muffler like # MF14235, has these dimensions.

- Given the small amount of space between the back glass and the rear edge of the trunk, it is unlikely that a trunk mount bike rack will fit if there is a spoiler on the trunk. The racks we carry have been tested for fit on a tC but not with a spoiler.
You would need to install a trailer hitch, # 24827, and use a hitch mounted bike rack. Because this is a Class I trailer hitch, the bike rack will have to be compatible with a Class I and you are limited to carrying a maximum of 2 bikes.
