Our cars already been equipped with a roof rack from Yakima, so all youve got to do is take our ski rack and install it. Well start off with our ski rack already assembled according to the instructions. Well just go ahead and place it onto our roof rack. We have one-half of a clamp loosely installed and then we can rotate the top of the ski carrier off to the side so we can install the hardware for the second side of the clamp.

Today on the 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse were going to do a test fit of part #: y02103 from Yakima, the front loader wheel mount bike carrier. Now our car has been already equipped with the Yakima roof rack, so all we got to do is put a bike rack on top of that. well take the front half of the bike rack and put it onto the front crossbar, then well go ahead and clamp it down, but leaving it loose so we can go ahead and move the back clamp into place as well. Once we have it loosely installed well go ahead and move it around to its final position and make sure its straight with the car, and then we can go ahead and tighten down the clamps. With those two clamps our bike rack is already installed. So at this point we can go ahead and load up a bike.
RockyMounts TieRod Roof Bike Rack Review - 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse
Today on this 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse, we're going to be test fitting the RockyMounts TieRod Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part number RKY1014. First, we'll lift the carrier up on top of our roof rack. We'll center the head of the carrier on top of our front crossbar. We'll pull the straps around and secure them back to the head. Once we've done that, we can use an Allen wrench to tighten the bolt on the front of the head to tighten the front straps. Then we'll snap the front cover back into place.
Yakima Q Tower Roof Rack Stretch Kit Installation - 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse
Today on this 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse were going to be testing a Yakima Roof Rack System with the Q Stretch Kit. The Q Stretch Kit is going to allow us an additional 4 of crossbar spread when compared to the roof rack kit alone. We already have our cross bar assemblies put together, and now we are ready to mount them on the vehicle. The first thing we need to do is open the doors on both sides of the vehicle. Well set our front crossbar assembly up on our roof; we need to measure 4 back from the edge of the windshield weather strip to the leading edge of the Q Tower. We can adjust the thumb screws for proper tension.
Yakima Q Tower Roof Rack Installation - 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse
Today on this 2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse well be test fitting a Yakima Roof Rack System. We already have our crossbar assemblies put together, and now were ready to mount them up onto the vehicle. First then we need to do is open the doors on both sides. With the doors open we can lay our front crossbar assembly on top of the vehicle. We need to measure four inches from the edge of the windshield seal to the leading edge of our Q Towers. Once we have our position set we want to make sure that our clips are sitting properly in between the seal and the doorframe, and then well tighten both sides down.
