- Trailer Brake Controller Recommendation for a 2012 Lincoln Navigator
- I spoke with my contact at Tekonsha about the 2012 Lincoln Navigator with a factory 7-Way wiring harness. He stated that it takes the # 3035-P wiring harness for a brake controller. You will first need it and then the brake controller itself. I recommend the P2, # 90885. It is one of our best selling brake controllers of all time because it is easy to set up, easy to use, and it is reliable. You can disconnect the controller and store it when not in use. If you do this I do recommend following t

- What is the Sound Like on the Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust for a 2003 Lincoln Navigator
- Magnaflow describes the cat back exhaust # MF15872 as a smooth, deep tone. I had some installed on my car, see video link, and I would say that it is an accurate description.
There really is no comparison between Magnaflow and Flowmaster. Magnaflow is superior in quality and sound. I spoke with a mechanic who has worked on cars with both systems and he greatly prefers the Magnaflow.
The new exhaust will be louder than stock exhaust, but it will not be obnoxiously loud. Magnaflow system # M

- Hitch Pin Recommendation to Secure Lincoln Trailer Hitch Receiver Cover for 2 Inch Trailer Hitches
- The Lincoln hitch cover for 2 inch hitches, # 205263, does have a plastic wishbone type of clip inside of it that will hold it in the hitch receiver. But I do recommend using a locking hitch pin, # 7683, instead to secure the cover and deter theft.

- How to Choose the Correct Ball Mount for a 2006 Lincoln Navigator with Factory Trailer Hitch
- It looks like the 2006 Lincoln navigator came with a factory 2 inch trailer hitch receiver. This means that you can use any ball mount for a Class III hitch that has the correct rise or drop to tow the trailer level. You will need to take some measurements to determine what rise or drop you will need. I have included a link to our FAQ that explains how to measure.
Having about 4 inches of a ball mount that is 8 inches long inside the actual receiver of the hitch is not a problem provided that

- Ineffective Braking on Car Hauler Trailer Towed By 2008 Lincoln Navigator
- There are a few things that could be causing your trailer brakes to preform poorly.
As a start, make sure your trailer is not overloaded. If it is a 2 axle trailer with brakes only on one axle, you might consider adding brakes to the second axle. Even though the weight carried on the trailer might not be exceeding the trailer axle capacity, one braking axle might not be enough to efficiently stop the trailer when it is loaded.
It is possible that your brake output wire is of too small of a

- Thule Vertex 4 Swing Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2003 Lincoln Navigator
- Either the Thule Vertex # TH9031 or the Yakima SwingDaddy 4 # Y02422 would work on your 2003 Lincoln Navigator. The # TH9031 will be a couple inches farther away from your vehicle and it has arced arms that will allow the bikes to be at different heights when loaded so I believe it has the slight edge for you.
The extra space on the opening of your hitch is just to allow hitch mounted accessories to be installed and removed easily. The # TH9031 has an anti-rattle device built into it that wou

In order to install the adapter on your Navigator you will first plug the 4-Way you have into the back of the adapter. That will leave just 4 wires to hardwire to the vehicle.
The white wire will need to be grounded to the frame of the vehicle. Yellow goes to the reverse light wire behind one of the tail lig

- Does Factory Grille on a 2005 Lincoln Navigator have to be Removed to Install a Putco Grille Insert
- Actually, to install the Putco Liquid Spiderweb Grille Insert, # P303117, on your 2005 Lincoln Navigator, you do not have to remove the grille at all. If you wanted more room to work when installing the insert, I suppose you could remove the grille, attach the insert, and then reinstall the grille, but it is not required for installation. I have included a link to all of the grille options we have for the 2005 Lincoln Navigator for you to view.

- What 4 Bike Hitch Rack Will Fit On A Lincoln Navigator And Carry 4 Childrens Bikes
- The 2003 and newer Lincoln Navigators will have a standard Class III or Class IV 2 inch hitch. That size hitch will be able to carry 4 bikes with no problem. If you have a 2002 and older Lincoln Navigator you will want to make sure that you have a 2 inch Class III or Class IV hitch on your vehicle.
In the wheel mount style bike rack I would recommend the Swagman XTC4 4 Bike Rack - Wheel Mount, part # S64665. This bike rack has a weight capacity of 140 lbs. (35 lbs. per bike). The bike hooks s

- Bike Rack for 2010 Santa Fe Pop-Up Trailer
- None of the bike racks we offer for mounting on the rear of a Pop-Up trailer are designed for use with a c-channel bumper. They are all designed for use with continuously welded square steel bumpers only.

Another alternative would be to use a towing bik

- Replacing a 4-Round Connector with a 4-Flat on a Bayonet Trailer Towed by a 1999 Lincoln Navigator
- If your trailer has a 4-Round that looks similar to # PK11402, you can clip off the plug and connect the wires to a 4-Flat that will fit the 4-Way on the 1999 Lincoln Navigator. You can use the Quick Fix(TM) 4 Pole Flat Trailer End, # HMC20031, or directly wire a trailer-side 4-pole connector like # 18004.
The shielded pin is the ground and is usually a white wire. The pin next to that is for the tail and running lights and is usually a brown wire. The next pin is for left turn and is usually

- Weight Distribution and Sway Control for a 1999 Lincoln Navigator and 2010 Ford F-250 V10
- Depending on the hitch on your 1999 Lincoln Navigator, you can pull between 7,500 and 10,000 pounds using a WD system. Both of these capacities will be enough to tow the load of 6,500 Camaro and trailer weight.
We have several WD systems available, but the one I recommend the most is the Strait-Line Weight Distribution Hitch System, # 66074. This WD system comes with dual cam, pro-active sway control that stops trailer sway before it starts. It can handle what you need to tow now and, should

- Changing a UK Wired Tailer to a USA 4 Wire System for Use with a Lincoln Navigator
- You could make an adapter to go from the connector on your Aviator, if it is a factory 7-Way connector, to the 5 wires on your trailer. I would use the Pollak Black Plastic, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector, item # PK12706, along with the 5-Flat Vehicle End 72 inch Wiring Harness, item # 20016, to build an adapter. Once the adapter is built and wired I would use the 5-Flat Trailer End 48 inch Harness, item # 20017, to splice to the trailer wiring.

- Trailer to hitch level
- The best practice is to have the trailer as close to level as possible. If your trailer is only pointing upward by an inch or so, you will be fine. If you are talking about more than 1-1/2 inches, you might want to consider a ballmount with more rise or drop to get the trailer closer to being level.
We have a helpful FAQ page that illustrates how to determine how to determine the required rise or drop on your ballmount. I will include a link below.

- What do I need to Convert a 4-Way to 7-Way Trailer Connector on a 2005 Lincoln Navigator
