Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Hidden Hitch

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to review and install Hidden Hitch class two 1-1/4" receiver tube hitch, part number 90157. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. As you can see, it's a fully welded construction with a nice black powder-coated finish. This is our 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" receiver tube and the pre-drilled 1/2" hole on each side. We also have our chain hold down on each side. You'll notice that the receiver tube extends out past the back bumper so that we can accommodate for rear-mounted spare tires.



Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Draw-Tite

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to do a review and install of the Draw-Tite class two 1-1/4" receiver tube hitch, part number 36424. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. As you can see, it's a fully welded construction with a nice black powder-coated finish. This is our 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" receiver tube and the pre-drilled 1/2" hole on each side. We also have our chain hold down on each side. You'll notice that the receiver tube extends out past the back bumper so that we can accommodate for rear-mounted spare tires.



Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Curt

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to do a review and install of the Curt class 3 two-inch receiver tube hitch, part #9883544. Here's what the hitch will look like once it's installed. As you can see, it's a fully welded construction with a nice black powder-coated finish. One of the really nice features about this hitch is it's sleek and stylish design. The only thing we really have exposed is our receiver tube, our 5/8ths pinhole, it goes all the way through our receiver tube, and our chain hold down on each side. This hitch is capable of up to 350 pounds of tongue weight and 3500 pounds tow capacity. Next I'm going to give you a couple measurements that will assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the rear mounted spare tire is 12-1/2 inches and from the top of the receiver tube opening down to the ground is 22-1/2 inches.

Here's what our hitch will look like once it's installed. As you can see, it's a fully welded construction with a nice black powder-coated finish. One of the really nice features about this hitch is its sleek and stylish design, and the only thing we really have exposed is our receiver tube, our 5/8 pinhole, goes all the way through our receiver tube, and our chain hold down on each side. Front Mount Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Draw-Tite

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to do a review and install of the Draw-Tite front-mounted 2" receiver tube hitch, part number 65055. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. As you can see, the main body of our hitch, the crosstube, is nicely hidden behind the front bumper. The only thing we really have exposed is our receiver tube and our hitch pinhole. This is a fully welded construction and a nice black powder-coated finish so it blends in with our vehicle. Now our hitch is a 2" by 2" receiver tube and it has a vertical load of up to 500 pounds, and a line pull load up to 9,000 pounds. Next I'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements to assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch.



Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we'll be installing the Tow Ready T-One vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number 118416. Now to begin our install we're going to start here at the rear of the vehicle, removing the driver's taillight assembly. We'll remove the two inside screws that hold the assembly in place. Once we have the fasteners out we can go ahead and pop the taillight assembly, exposing the manufacturer's wiring underneath. Next I'm going to go ahead and remove the taillight assembly completely by pressing on the locking tab and separating the two connectors. We can take the taillight assembly and set it aside for reinstallation later. Next we're going to bring in our new wiring harness.



Superwinch Electric Winch Wiring Kit Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to review and install the Superwinch Vehicle Electric Winch Wiring Kit, part number SW2008. To begin our install, we're going to mount our connector here at the back of the vehicle. To assist with mounting we're going to use the Tow Ready No-Drill Mounting Bracket that we'll secure here to the steel structure of our rear bumper. Because I want it to be bent down so it will clear the rear bumper, I'm going to go ahead and put it in a vise and bend the bracket slightly. That should be enough to give us an angle that we need to clear the bumper. Once we have our bracket bent, we can go ahead and secure it here to the bumper structure using the worm gear clamp provided to secure it.



Thule Helium Aero Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

So we have our 2014 Jeep Wrangler. We're going to be testing the Thule helium aero. This is a folding and tilting 2-bike rack. It's designed for use in both inch and 1/4 and 2-inch hitches. It's part number is TH9042. Now to begin the test fit, we're going to slide the shank of the bike rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do, we'll hold out on the attached pin, line up our pinholes, allow that pin to go into the hole and I always like to pull back slightly on it just to be sure we give ourselves as much clearance room as we can.



Swagman XTC 2 Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to be test-fitting the Swagman XCT2. This is a platform-style two bike rack. It's designed for use in both the inch and a quarter and two inch style of hitches. It's part number is S64670. To begin our test fit, we need to slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we slide it in, we want to line up the threaded hole with the pin hole. We can then take our anti-rattle bolt, we'll thread that through and then we can tighten it down with our wrench.



Swagman Titan Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to be test fitting this Swagman Titan. This is a folding and tilting 4 bike rack. It's designed for use with both the 1-1/4" and the 2" hitches. Its part number is S63410. To begin our test fit we're going to slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we slide it in we want to line up our threaded hole with our hitch pin hole. We'll then thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down with our wrench.



Blue Ox Tow Bar Installation - 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today we're going to show you part number BX7365, Blue Ox. Today we'll go ahead and show a typical application with our 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. We'll go ahead and take our tow bar and put it into the hitch of the RV and then put in included Penning clip. All right, next we'll go ahead and unfold the tow bar. You can see you can watch the pin move to a slot and then we work it to an opening, then we can go ahead and tilt it back. We had our tow bar in the stored position and it is very easy to undo. All right, now after we have it unfolded, we'll go ahead and pull out the arms and run it out to our Jeep. We'll take a look at the arms.



Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Installation - 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Speaker: Today on this 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to show you part number BX1126. You see the silver parts that go into the base plate There's a tablet in the 00:00:12 arms that you line up with the slot on the inside of the base plate, you push it in until the lock on the spring retracts, and then twist it, and then the spring will go back into place into a detente and then the arm is locked into position and cannot come out. Now I'll go ahead and show you how the base-plate installs. Our first step is to go ahead and remove the plastic face-shift 00:00:29 that's underneath the bumper. There's a plastic ribbit underneath there that we're going to have to remove. Typically, you have to use a small Philip's Screwdriver to undo the centers - just unscrew it - and then you can pull out the rest of the ribbit. You can use a flat screwdriver to pull it apart, but a trimpound tool like what we're using works a lot better. When you pull down the edge underneath the vehicle, we can see there's at least a couple more underneath there.



Glacier Twist-Link Snow Tire Chains Review - 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to review and install part number PWH2228SC. This is a glacier twist-link snow tire chains with cam tighteners. This part number includes one pair of chains. Now, we've got one of our chains out. We'll go ahead and lay it on the ground, and we'll go ahead and show you what to look for as you put it on the tire. First off, on these cross links here, you want to to make sure this hook reaches over underneath, and this is on top and eventually will face the ground. Also, over here, these round parts are tensioners.



Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, well be installing the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, part number 90885. Well be using the eTrailer Brake Controller Install Kit, part number ETBC7 as this vehicle is not equipped with the necessary wiring to hook up the brake controller. Were going to start at the rear of the vehicle with our 7-pole connector. Using the bracket and hardware provided with the install kit, well go ahead and secure the bracket directly to the 7-pole connector. Take the bracket, slide it over the wiring, and then to place lining up the predrilled holes.Then, take the hardware, drop it down through the 7-pole, and secure it with nut. The star washer or serrated side of the nut will face the bracket.



Glacier V-Bar Snow Tire Chains Review - 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on this 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to review and install part number PWH2828SC. This is a Glacier chains V-Bar snow tire chains with Cam tighteners. Now, before we do our install we're going to make sure we have our chain laid out correctly. First off, you can see that these links right here called the V-links, these actually grip the snow. Make sure these are pointing away from the tire. Also, on these cross-chains here, if you notice the hook right here, you'll make sure that these are facing up away from the tire as well. These round parts here are our tensioners.



Glacier Twist-Link Snow Tire Chains Review - 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today in a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to review and install Part #PWH222ASC. This is a Glacier Twist Link Snow Tire Chains with Cam Tighteners. This Part number includes one pair of chains. Today we're working with a tire size of P25570R18. Okay. Now we'll go ahead and lay one of our chains out.



Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on this 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to review and install part number PW2028C. This is the Glacial cable snow tire chains. Now the tire size that we're working with today is P25570R18. All right. Let's go ahead and place it on our tire. Try to get it even as possible across the top of the tire. Then tuck it in underneath the tire as far as you can. Do this on both sides of the tire.



Yakima FullTilt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Full Tilt. This is a folding and tilting four bike-style rack. It's designed for use in the 1-1/4 and 2 inch hitches. It's part number is Y02462. To begin our test fit we're going to slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. We want to make sure that our silver anti-rattle device slides in and we'll watch for the small silver pin to pop out in our pin hole just like that. I like to pull the rack back at that point just to give us as much clearance room as there is available.



Curt 17x46 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to be doing a test fit on the 17 by 46 CURT compact cargo carrier. Now they've designed this to be easily used with 1-1/4" or 2" hitches. Has a 500 pound weight capacity and the part number on it is C18145. Now to begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the carrier right into the receiver tube of our hitch. Then going to line up our threaded hole with our hitch pinhole. Once we have those in line we'll take the provided anti-rattle bolt and we're going to thread this on through. Now with that hand tight you'll notice, got some movement and some play to our carrier there so now it's time to use our wrench.



Saris Freedom SuperClamp Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to be test fitting the Saris Freedom Superclamp 2-bike platform-style rack designed to fit 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number SA4025. We're going to begin our test fit by sliding the shank of our bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we slide this in there we'll want to keep an eye out for our pinholes to line up with each other. Then we'll take our anti-rattle bolt and thread it through, making sure we start here on the driver side and go through to the passenger side. Once we get the anti-rattle bolt finger tight we can then use a wrench or socket wrench to finish tightening it all the way down. With this bolt tight it's really going to help take out any rattle or wobble that we may have inside of our hitch.



Saris Bike Porter Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to be test fitting the Saris Bike Porter 4-Bike Rack for 1-1/4 inch and 2 inch hitches, part number SA404B. We're going to begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we slide it in there, we'll go ahead and look for our pinholes to line up with each other. Then we can take our anti-rattle bolt and install it from driver's side to passenger side. Then we can just thread it through. Once we get this hand tight, we'll just use our socket wrench to secure it all the way down. With it fully tight, it's really going to help eliminate some rattle and wobble that we may have inside of our hitch. We'll simply just install the clip on the other side, and then we can go over some measurements. This bike rack is going to give us a ground clearance of about18-1/4 of an inch. The closest point of the bike rack to the rear of our vehicle is just going to measure the mass here at the top.



Saris Freedom Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to be test-fitting the Saris Freedom 4-Bike Rack. This is platform, solid hitch-mounted rack. Part number SA4414B. We're going to begin our test fit by sliding the shank of our bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we slide it in, we want to keep an eye out to make sure that our pin holes are going to line up with each other. Once inaudible 00:00:33 is in line, we can take our anti-rattle bolt.



Rola 22x59 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we are going to be doing a test fit on the Rola Cargo Carrier, this measures 22x59, it's been designed for use in two inch hitches and it's going to offer a 600 pound weight capacity. Part number on it is 59502. Now to begin our test fit we need to slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch here. Once we have it started we are going to line up our the hole that it's in the shank with our hitch pin hole. We can then take a standard five eights pin and slide that through. Once we've got it through, we'll secure it on the other side with the clip. Now the pin and clip are sold separately, if you don't already have one at home pick one at up.



Surco Spare Tire Mounted Cargo Basket Review - 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to be doing a test fit on the Surco spare tire-mounted cargo carrier. This is designed to mount on the spare tire bracket right here on the rear of the Jeep. It is 43 by 19". Part number on it is SPSJ4319. Now first up we need to do is get our bracket installed. Our carrier will mount right onto that. This needs to get positioned behind our spare.



Pro Series Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we are going to be doing a test fit on the 31x47 Pro Series Solo Cargo Carrier. They've designed this for use in 2 inch hitches and offers a 400 pound weight capacity. The part number on it is PS1040100. As you can see, it's kind of the larger carriers that we offer, if you have a buddy around grab him to help you, if not I'd like to just kind of rest the shank of the carrier there into the receiver tube, then I'll come around to the rear and lift up and push in at the same time. We are now going to line up our hole that is here in the shank with our pinch hole in the receiver tube. With those in line, we'll take a standard five eights pin, we are going to slide it through and we'll secure it on the other side with the clip. Now the pin and clip are sold separately, if you don't already have one, we've got them listed on the website part number PC3. Let's take a look here and see what we've got.



Thule Vertex Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit Installation - 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we will be installing the Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit with bulbs, part number RM-155. To begin with, we'll need to route our wires from the front of the vehicle towards the back. To accomplish this, we'll be using a pull wire, in this case a piece of old airline tubing. When we get past the engine compartment, we can route the wire through the frame all the way to the back. Here at the front of the vehicle we will also protect our wire with the loom material provided with the install kit. We can secure it in place with electrical tape.
