Front Mount Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Curt

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we'll be reviewing and installing the Curt Front-Mounted Two-Inch Receiver Tube Hitch, part number 31432. Now here's what our hitch will look like once it's installed. The hitch is completely made of steel and is a fully welded construction. You've got a nice strong square cross tube with a nice black powder-coated finish. This is a 2-inch by 2-inch receiver tube and it's go the pre-drilled hole for a 5/8 pin or locking pin. This hitch is capable of up to 9,000 pounds of line pull and 350 pounds of vertical load. The gross trailer weight is 3500 pounds and it comes with a limited lifetime warranty. Next we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements to assist your selecting accessories for your new hitch.



Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Hidden Hitch

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to review and install Hidden Hitch class two 1-1/4" receiver tube hitch, part number 90157. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. As you can see, it's a fully welded construction with a nice black powder-coated finish. This is our 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" receiver tube and the pre-drilled 1/2" hole on each side. We also have our chain hold down on each side. You'll notice that the receiver tube extends out past the back bumper so that we can accommodate for rear-mounted spare tires.

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to do a review and install of the Draw-Tite class two 1-1/4" receiver tube hitch, part number 36424. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. As you can see, it's a fully welded construction with a nice black powder-coated finish. This is our 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" receiver tube and the pre-drilled 1/2" hole on each side. We also have our chain hold down on each side. You'll notice that the receiver tube extends out past the back bumper so that we can accommodate for rear-mounted spare tires.

One of the really nice features about this hitch is it's sleek and stylish design. The only thing we really have exposed is our receiver tube, our 5/8ths pinhole, it goes all the way through our receiver tube, and our chain hold down on each side. This hitch is capable of up to 350 pounds of tongue weight and 3500 pounds tow capacity. Next I'm going to give you a couple measurements that will assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the rear mounted spare tire is 12-1/2 inches and from the top of the receiver tube opening down to the ground is 22-1/2 inches.

Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. As you can see, the main body of our hitch, the crosstube, is nicely hidden behind the front bumper. The only thing we really have exposed is our receiver tube and our hitch pinhole. This is a fully welded construction and a nice black powder-coated finish so it blends in with our vehicle. Now our hitch is a 2" by 2" receiver tube and it has a vertical load of up to 500 pounds, and a line pull load up to 9,000 pounds. Next I'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements to assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch.



Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we'll be installing the Tow Ready T-One vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number 118416. Now to begin our install we're going to start here at the rear of the vehicle, removing the driver's taillight assembly. We'll remove the two inside screws that hold the assembly in place. Once we have the fasteners out we can go ahead and pop the taillight assembly, exposing the manufacturer's wiring underneath. Next I'm going to go ahead and remove the taillight assembly completely by pressing on the locking tab and separating the two connectors. We can take the taillight assembly and set it aside for reinstallation later. Next we're going to bring in our new wiring harness.



Superwinch Electric Winch Wiring Kit Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to review and install the Superwinch Vehicle Electric Winch Wiring Kit, part number SW2008. To begin our install, we're going to mount our connector here at the back of the vehicle. To assist with mounting we're going to use the Tow Ready No-Drill Mounting Bracket that we'll secure here to the steel structure of our rear bumper. Because I want it to be bent down so it will clear the rear bumper, I'm going to go ahead and put it in a vise and bend the bracket slightly. That should be enough to give us an angle that we need to clear the bumper. Once we have our bracket bent, we can go ahead and secure it here to the bumper structure using the worm gear clamp provided to secure it.
