Today on our 2014 JEEP Wrangler unlimited we will be taking a look at and installing the Tekonsha prodigy P3 brake control system, part number 90195 with the assistance from the universal installation kit part number ETBC7.Speaker 2: Now that we have everything hooked up let's plug it in and see how it works. Clip it in and pop it in the holder. Now that we have got our trailer hooked up you can see it actually recognizes that it's there. We can go ahead and change our power settings. We have our emergency brake boost on the bottom and that pushes it all the way up to what we have it set on our power setting. It won't go over it unless you adjust your settings.

Westin Trailblazer Front Bumper Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we'll be taking a look at and installing the Westin Trailblazer Front Bumper with Light Bar attachment, part number 42-2015. This heavy duty, off-road-style bumper replaces your vehicle's factory front bumper. It has a corrosion-resistant steel tubing. It's going to have built-in tabs that will also allow you to add and attach your D-rings. Quick and easy installation with all included hardware and no drilling. Also available in tan, Part Number WT455732, and in gray, Part Number WT465732. First thing we're going to need to do is remove these floor mats. Pull up and slide them on out. WeatherTech Cargo Liner Review - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we'll be taking a look at the WeatherTech Cargo Liner. This is going to be black in color, and part number WT40745. Also available in gray, part number WT42745, and also available in tan, part number WT41745. All right, now, we'll go ahead and fit in our rear cargo mat. You're going to notice that there's going to be a few tie-down points as well, located on the inside here. The mat's going to have nice little cutout areas, or a place where you can cut it out, if you choose to use those for securing any of your items. You'll slide it in, and press it down.

Rampage Slimline Round Bars Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today, on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we'll be taking a look at installing the Rampage Slimline Round Bars with hoop steps. Part number: RA26628. Here's what our running boards are going to look like once they're installed. They're going to have that nice sleek, no profile design, coming up right next to the body up here in the middle. You can see that you're still going to have plenty of wiggle room, so nothing gets smashed. They're going to have that nice, rugged texture look, and a nice grip pad here to step up on. You're going to have two hoops; you're going to have the larger one up front and the smaller one in the back for your passengers .. Giving you plenty of access to get in there, and it's going to be a nice body protector as well. The durable black powder coat is going to help against rust and corrosion as well.

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we'll be taking a look at and installing the Curt-T connector vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number C55124. First thing we're going to do on our installation of our wiring harness is go ahead and remove the driver's side rear taillight assembly. To do so there's going to be two Phillip's screws here on the inside that we're going to remove. You can leave the outward ones installed, since those are securing the cover to the light assembly here. Once you have those two removed we'll be able to pop the taillight assembly right out, just like so. Then we'll disconnect the wiring harness, press down on the tab on the bottom and pull out. Once we have it disconnected we'll go ahead and set the taillight off to the side, and bring in our wiring harness. We're going to simply plug in the same kind of connector to our factory harness.

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're test fitting the Curt 20x60 Cargo Carrier, part number C18150. It's got a 500 pound weight capacity and is designed to work with 2 inch hitches. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements. We have about 20 3/4 inches of ground clearance. It's because we've got that nice raised shank in the back here, so it's going to lift that up even higher than a normal straight shank would. Our overall to the back of the Jeep, we're adding about 29 1/4 inches there. Now if we take a look at our closest distance, I can barely fit my pinky in there.

Titan Chain Tire Chains with Cams Installation - 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to look at our TC3229CAM. Today we're putting the chain on a 295 and 70 on a 17" rim. Our Titan chain is a low carbon chain, so that's better for it so it doesn't get brittle and break on you. This is a pack of 2, so you'll be able to do adjacent tires and if you want to do all 4 tires, you will have a separate pack for these. If we get up and look at them, we've got them laid out so we can make sure it's untangled and there's no kinks or anything in it. If we look at these chains, they're nice and rounded over so you're going to get a nice smoother ride. It won't be as bumpy as with other chains. We've got our tightener cams and as you see these cross chains it's got a smooth side and it's got a bump side.

Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect Installation - 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on this 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to show you the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect for Towed Vehicles, part number RM-765. With this part number, this is what you get: a couple of pieces of loom material to protect the red cables, your actual disconnect switch right here, some heat shrink tubing, and some insulation fasteners, and some zip ties. Quick overview of the operation of it. Basically what happens is that this installs between your positive cable coming from your car and its electrical system to the positive post on your battery. You take those two parts and this basically fits in between. This brown wire gets ran through your running light circuit from your RV and this white wire goes to ground. The only time this thing will work is when you have your running lights turned on in your RV.

Today on this 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to show you the SMI Stay IN Play Duo Supplemental Braking System, part number SM99251. First up on our install is to work with operating unit. This box right here gets installed underneath the hood of the jeep. It has a vacuum line here that will eventually connect up to the vacuum line on the brakes and also has some wires that we need to hook up. It also comes with a length of new material and we'll use this to bundle up our wires while we're working with it. As we do our wiring section, we'll pull out one wire at a time as needed.

Hopkins Tail Light Wiring Kit Installation - 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to show you the Hopkins custom taillight wiring kit for towed vehicles. Part Number HM56200. First off, we have this T-connector here, this one with the yellow wire goes to the left-hand side, or driver side. The T-connector here with the green wire goes over to the passenger side. This is our converter right here which takes our input from a 4 pole, that gets the power from the RV, goes through here and divides up to the wire harness, and to the tail lights. This long 4 pole wire harness will get ran underneath the vehicle all the way up towards the front, where it will be held in place by a spracket, also with its protective cover.

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Questions

  • The price difference between the Blue Ox Aladdin Tow Bar, # BX4325, and the Roadmaster Blackhawk 2 All Terrain Tow Bar, # RM-422, is basically due to the fact that the Blackhawk 2 is a heavy-duty steel tow bar designed to flat tow full-size trucks and SUVs. The Aladdin is a lightweight aluminum tow bar designed to tow mid-size vehicles like your 2012 Jeep Wrangler. For your situation, I recommend using the Blue Ox Aladdin tow bar for a few reasons. First, to use a tow bar,...

  • You will need to get a tow bar setup confirmed to fit your 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited as the part # 521440-1B you mentioned would not fit. For that you would want the # RM-521448-4 as long as you have a factory bumper. In addition to the base plates, you will also need a compatible tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking to flat tow your vehicle. The most popular compatible tow bar is the Falcon 2, # RM-520. For safety cables you can use # RM-643....

  • Roof racks for your 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Hardtop are available from Yakima and Thule. I have included a link to our product page that shows all four available rack systems for your Jeep. The main differences between the available racks are their crossbar spread (the distance between front and rear crossbars once mounted to your Wrangler) and the shapes of the crossbars themselves. A wider crossbar spread makes it easier to transport longer items. The wing-like aero...

  • For tow bar wiring for your 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited you are going to want the part # HM56200. This harness installs easily by plugging in line with the taillights of your vehicle. I attached an install video for you to check out as well. The # C55124 that you referenced is trailer wiring and would not work for what you are doing.

  • We do offer base plates that are designed to work with a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited as long as it has factory bumpers installed. When flat-towing there are 5 items needed. You will need base plates, a tow bar, safety cables, lighting for the towed vehicle, and most states not require a supplemental brake system. I recommend either the Roadmaster part # RM-521448-5 and part # RM-521448-4. These will not work with the 10th Anniversary Rubicon or Call of Duty Edition. The...

  • From what I have found the 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited does NOT need to have fuses pulled to flat tow it. This means you will not need a fuse bypass. Consult the owners manual to confirm this and for other specific information on flat towing your Jeep. There are other items needed to flat tow your Jeep: base plates, tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking. For base plates I recommend the Roadmaster XL base plates # 1439-1. These base plates will fit...

  • The Blue Ox Patriot # BRK2012 will function the brakes of your 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara just fine. This product applies enough force to the brake pedal that the brakes of your Jeep will apply adequately. The brakes of a vehicle still work when the engine is off, without the vacuum assist feature the brake pedal does get harder but if you press hard enough the brakes will still apply. The Patriot presses hard enough to still apply the brakes. The couple times you...

  • For a 2 inch trailer hitch extension, I recommend going with # HE06 because it was designed for this purpose. The adapter you have referenced is designed for flat towing and not for carrying accessories. The use of an extension is going to reduce the tongue weight capacity of the trailer hitch by 50 percent. For example, if the trailer tongue weight capacity is 350 pounds, with an extender installed it can only handle 175 pounds. The combined weight of your bikes and bike...

As you mentioned, the rear windows will need to be unzipped to roll the rear portion back. I did the math and your 255/75R17 tire and wheel combination works out to be 10.04 inches wide, which will not allow the Thule Apex to be inserted fully into the hitch. • For your 2015 Jeep Rubicon with 255/75-17 tires I would recommend the part # TC2526 for chains. These have a diamond pattern that will give you excellent traction for acceleration, braking, and turning. They also install pretty easily too. Since you said the snow gets pretty crazy I would recommend you go with 2 sets of chains for all four wheels of your Jeep. This will be the best possible setup so that you wouldn't have to worry about getting stranded. You can sometimes get...
