Today on our 2007 Dodge Charger, we'll be testing the Yakima Round Crossbar Roof Racking System, Part Numbers Y00409, Y00699, Y00683 and Y00124. Now, with the roof rack already assembled, we'll go ahead and open the front driver side and passenger side door and set the front crossbar on to the vehicle. We will then check the Yakima fit guide for the included instructions to determine the measurement from the front part of the glass to the first part of the q tower. Our measurement is 8 inches. We'll measure the passenger side, first part of the glass to the first part of the tower, 8 inches then we'll move to the other side where we will do the same. We need to make sure that we get the crossbar perpendicular to the vehicle to ensure the tower gets a good fit to th vehicle.

Alright, today on this 2012 Dodge Charger, we're going to do a test fit of the Thule Roof Rack System. Today, we'll be using the Thule AeroBlades, part number THARB53, the Rapid Traverse Foot Pack, part number TH480R and a fit kit, part number THKIT1604. We'll start off our test fit with our load bars already assembled according to instructions so it's just a matter of placing them on the roof. With the doors opened, we can place the first bar on the roof of our Charger. And you always want to go by your instructions, but in this case, we'll be using a measurement of 8-1/4 inches.

We'll start off our test fit with our bike carrier already assembled according to instructions, so all we have to do is put this on our roof. Today we have a 2012 Dodge Charger and we're going to be test fitting the Swagman Fork-Down Roof Mounted Bike Carrier. We've already got our carrier assembled and now we're ready to mount it up on our vehicle. To mount the carrier, we'll place the head of the rack on top of our frontload bar. We'll fit the U bolts around our load bar and back through the head of the platform and we'll tighten it down with the wing nuts. Put the front half of our carrier secured, we can move to the back. We'll position the U bolt in the rear of the carrier over our rear load bar and use the clamp bar and the two wing nuts to tighten it down to our rear bar.

Alright this is what the hitch looks like when its installed on the car and next well give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories.Have the receiver opening down to the ground and this car is going to be 9 inches and from the center of our hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the bumper is going to be 8 inches. First were going to show you how its installed. First thing we need to do is actually lower part of the exhaust and remove part of the exhaust to make it easier to install the hitch. So were going to put down this clamp right here, put some lubricant, were going to pry the clamp open just a little but, just so theres enough to make it loose. Ok, then well leave everything alone for now.
Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Dodge Charger

Today on this 2006 Dodge Charger, we will be installing wiring harness part number 118404. We are in the trunk area of the Charger here and we want to go ahead and locate the port for our wiring harness. The ports are located directly behind the tail light assemblies here inside the trunk compartment. So we need to go ahead and remove the interior carpeting here to gain access to those. To do that we just need to remove the screw here on both sides of the vehicle and we just pull that back. You see once we do that, right in the back of the tail light assembly is our connection point. As you see there is a red tab here at the top. We want to push that over and then there is also a button here at the top we push that in and disconnect the two like so. 00:41
Trailer Hitch Installation - 2006 Dodge Charger

Today on this 2006 Dodge Charger we will be installing Curt hitch part number 13465. We are underneath the vehicle and before we get started we need to go ahead and lower the exhaust off of both frame rails so that we can gain access to the existing weld nuts in the frame. There are two hangers per side that we are going to remove the exhaust off of. One here and one here on the driver side and then one here and here on the passenger side. And on some models it may be necessary to go ahead and remove the third hanger as well to gain just a little bit more room.
Trailer Hitch Installation - 2007 Dodge Charger RT

Today we are going to install part number 13465 from Curt on a 2007 Dodge Charger RT. The first thing we need to do is lower the exhaust. We have got two points we need to lower: one here, and one in the back. Now, we can simply unbolt those from the frame and it will come down. And we will do that on both sides. And also, for added safety, and to keep the stress down on the exhaust, we added this safety strap here. And one other point we need to disconnect will be right here, that is going to be right in front of the converter here. And basically we are going to just take this off and let the exhaust fall down as much as possible, limited by the strap, of course. And that will give us plenty of working room. Now we will take down this side of the exhaust. All right, and now we will do the passengers side.
