Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2000 Buick Century

Today on this 2000 Buick Century we are going to install part number 18252. To wire the vehicle up we are going to have to get to the back of the tail lights and the wire harness is ran up behind here and into the tail light. We are going to have to go to both sides of the vehicle and right now we are looking at the driver side. What we are going to do is take off the fasteners that hold this cover in place so you can get back to the wires. You can see the wires that go in the tail lights will be pretty easy. We will peel back the electric tape so we can get access to the wires. We have got the wires bare, now we will test which wire does what function. First we will start of with the running lights. The kit comes with a supplied light tester so that looks like the running light circuit so that is going to be brown so we will hook up our wire to the 4-pole and the running light on the 4-pole will be brown also. Slide on the scotch lock that comes with the kit and run the brown wire next to it and we will squeeze it with the pliers and we are good to go. 01:04

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2000 Buick Century

Today on this 2000 Buick Century we are going to install part number 36374 from Draw-Tite. This also applies to part number 90981 from Hidden Hitch. The first step is to lower the exhaust. On this particular model there are three rubber hangers, we will remove them but we will also use a strap to hold the exhaust up so we can lower it in a controlled manner. Next we will spray down the hangers with some lubricant so they can be easy to peel off. Use a pry bar to help pull these off. Now we can show you where the hitch is going to mount up on to the frame of the vehicle. We are going to use this hole here and this hole here. We are going to put the hitch up into position and use the hitch as a template to drill one more hole on the side of the frame. 00:44
