Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2000 Buick Century

Today on this 2000 Buick Century we are going to install part number 18252. To wire the vehicle up we are going to have to get to the back of the tail lights and the wire harness is ran up behind here and into the tail light. We are going to have to go to both sides of the vehicle and right now we are looking at the driver side. What we are going to do is take off the fasteners that hold this cover in place so you can get back to the wires. You can see the wires that go in the tail lights will be pretty easy. We will peel back the electric tape so we can get access to the wires. We have got the wires bare, now we will test which wire does what function. First we will start of with the running lights. The kit comes with a supplied light tester so that looks like the running light circuit so that is going to be brown so we will hook up our wire to the 4-pole and the running light on the 4-pole will be brown also. Slide on the scotch lock that comes with the kit and run the brown wire next to it and we will squeeze it with the pliers and we are good to go. 01:04
Trailer Hitch Installation - 2000 Buick Century

Today on this 2000 Buick Century we are going to install part number 36374 from Draw-Tite. This also applies to part number 90981 from Hidden Hitch. The first step is to lower the exhaust. On this particular model there are three rubber hangers, we will remove them but we will also use a strap to hold the exhaust up so we can lower it in a controlled manner. Now we can show you where the hitch is going to mount up on to the frame of the vehicle. We are going to use this hole here and this hole here. We are going to put the hitch up into position and use the hitch as a template to drill one more hole on the side of the frame. 00:44

- For your 2002 Buick Century, the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 36374 is a compatible fit. However, the Draw-Tite Hitch # 36241 is not intended for your car and, after consulting with Reese, I have found the Reese hitch you have referenced is also not compatible for your vehicle.
The Draw-Tite Receiver # 36374 is custom fit for your Buick Century and features bolt-on installation with no welding required. It is a 1-1/4 inch Class II receiver with a maximum gross trailer weight of 3500 lbs and a t

- Draw Tite Hitch Recommendation for a 2005 Buick Century
- The hitch I would recommend for your 2005 Buick Century would be the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 36374. The only issue is that all of the hitches available for your vehicle including this one have a 1-1/4 inch opening and would not readily accept your Thule bike rack that is designed for a 2 inch hitch.
You could use a Hitch Adapter # HTAD that would convert your 1-1/4 inch hitch to a 2 inch opening, but when you do this you will cut the tongue weight rating of the hitch in half. The # 36374 ha

- Can a Class II Trailer Hitch on a 1996 Buick Century Handle a Wheelchair Lift
- All of the trailer hitches for a 1996 Buick Century are Class II trailer hitches with 1-1/4 inch receivers. Some carriers do require a Class II trailer hitch but there are others that do not. For example, we have the Trailer Hitch Mounted Scooter / Wheel Chair Carrier, # RHWC1114. It requires a hitch with a 300 pound tongue weight capacity. Draw-Tite # 36187 does have a 300 pound capacity.
The carrier itself weight about 90 pounds, so that will leave a maximum of 210 pounds for the chair or s

- Installing Draw-Tite Class II Hitch Part # 36187 on 1992 Buick Century
- You are in luck! No drilling is required, nor do you have to remove the bumper. The hitch uses existing nuts welded into your frame. With an older vehicle such as yours, there is probably a fair amount of corrosion and road grime built up in there. To prevent breaking these nuts loose from the frame, you will have to make sure they are nice and clean before installing the bolts. We recommend soaking the weld nuts with a spray lubricant like WD-40 and scrubbing them with a wire brush. We have fou

- Will Trailer Hitch From 1994 Buick Century Fit On A 1998 Buick Le Sabre
- The trailer hitches are custom fit for each specific vehicle. They are not made to be interchanged with different vehicles. Each vehicle will have a specific mounting location for the hitch, which the manufacturer has already tested as the best location to handle the load from towing.
The mounting locations for the hitch on the 1994 Buick Century are different than the mounting locations on the 1998 Buick Le Sabre, so the hitch from the Century will not fit on the 1998 Buick Le Sabre.
