Weight Distribution with Sway Control Installation - Video
Six points of friction control trailer sway. Four points of steel on steel friction are found in the weight distribution head while the two most important points of friction are found along the weight distribution spring bars. The spring bars are attached to the trailer frame with a hanger system that provides a platform for the spring bar to rest on. These large platforms are composed of an automotive friction material (as found in car brakes) which creates 10 times the amount of friction force as compared to steel on steel friction. When installed properly, the spring bars are constantly exerting force down on to the these platforms (This downward force is what distributes the weight). When the trailer comes out of a straight line for turns etc., the spring bars slide along the top of the large friction pad. Turns exert enough force to slide the spring bars over the friction pad, however, gusts of wind will have a much harder time. This system is topped in sway performance by only the Strait-Line System (66074).

- Included Shank (# 63970) allows for a 1-1/4" Drop or a 6" Rise. Measures 13" long from pin hole to ball hole, 8" from pin hole to back of upright bar.
- Other weight distribution shanks with different drops, rises and lengths are available.
Note: Trailer Hitch Ball requires 1-1/4" Shank to maximize towing capacity.

Compared to the Competition:
If you are looking at the competition, remember this, 6 points of sway control, large automotive friction material pads which mean 10 times more friction than steel on steel, easy to adjust serrated washers control the tilt of the ball platform, and spring bars with more flex (means a smoother ride, better weight distribution performance on uneven roads and less wear and tear on the vehicle.).

I've pulled my trailer with, and W/O this hitch, and there is no comparison. The hitch almost completely removes any sway caused by winds and big semi's passing.
It levels my truck, which allows me to tow at night, and not blind oncoming traffic.
My only complaint is that it can be difficult to get the bars into the friction pads.
After over 5,000 Mi. towing, I'm very pleased with this equalizing / sway control hitch.
