Edge Juice Module - 2007.5-2008 Chevy / GMC 6.6L Duramax LMM
The Juice module is an add-on Engine Control Module for the Duramax engine that offers additional features not available with the factory setup. As an add-on ECM, it uses all the factory data and then enhances the factory settings to optimize your truck's performance.
With four (including stock) selectable power levels via an in-cab position switch, the Juice module offers an increase of up to 50 horsepower and 95 foot pounds of torque. The Juice greatly improves responsiveness and driveability, while at the same time increasing fuel economy.
- Provides precise power curves by communicating along engine's data stream for vital engine, transmission, and fuel system information
- Can switch between four available power levels:
- Level 0: Stock
- Level 1: 30 horsepower - 60 foot pounds of torque
- Level 2: 40 horsepower - 80 foot pounds of torque
- Level 3: 50 horsepower - 95 foot pounds of torque
- Monitors transmission slippage to decrease power if any slippage is detected, preventing damage and helping to avoid entering "limp mode"
- Increases fuel economy
- Monitors shift points
- Improves driveability
The additional power is more noticeable in the midrange RPMs, which greatly improves driveability and towing performance. Transmission downshifting is greatly reduced, especially while passing or towing.
The Juice also regulates power delivery and timing based on engine temperature. This means that while the engine temperature is below 130 degrees Fahrenheit, no additional fueling or timing is delivered. Once it reaches 130 degrees, the module begins modifying timing and delivering fuel at 50 percent of the calculated additional fuel, and the percentage increases as the engine temperature increases, until at full engine temperature the Juice delivers 100 percent of the calculated additional fuel.
The Juice communicates along the engine's CAN-bus data stream, from which it receives vital engine, transmission, and fuel system information. This enables the Juice to provide smooth and precise power curves that are truly custom, rather than just an offset from stock.
The Juice also monitors transmission slippage when the torque converter clutch is engaged and while it is being engaged. The power level is decreased if any slippage is detected. This prevents damage from being caused to the transmission, and also prevents the power train from erroneously generating fault codes and entering "limp mode." Unlike other products on the market, the Juice allows for moving power to be put to the ground under all conditions without transmission slippage.
The Edge Juice is a completely weatherproof module that easily installs underneath the hood. Using factory-style connections, in just 30 minutes you can add up to three levels of adjustable power ranging from 30 to 50 horsepower and increase torque from 60 to 95 foot pounds.
