On the Tow Ready carriers 63153 and 63155, the tighter mesh floor is not large enough for the plug to pass through. Therefore run the wire leads under the platform to the lights, then up the front of the carrier and around to the back of the light. This also helps prevent the wires from getting pinched by the cargo. As per the instructions, you are to run the wires along the bottom, then run up through the mesh floor. Impossible with carrier 63153. Due to the small size of the mesh flooring and the size of the light connectors, I had to cut and splice the wires, as to have a professional looking installation. No big deal, just takes a little time and effort. The yellow wire for one side is almost just too short and the green wire for the other side is about a foot too long. Also, as mentioned in another review, the wire mesh of the 63153 carrier is too small to fit the wire connectors thru the mesh. So I had to cut and splice the wires to get it to work appropriately. I can't comment about reliability and performance as I've only used it once to pick up a xmas tree.
