The TripleX Bike Rack secures the bike in 3 places. The cradle that grabs the bike's upright bar (under the seat) also prevents the bike rack from swaying back and forth while in transit.
The bike rack's arms fold down when not in use. This is great for parking in garages without bikes or keeping others from running into it while you're out on the trail.
The bike rack comes ready to slide into a 2" x 2" trailer hitch receiver, but the shank can easily be rotated to slide into a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" trailer hitch. The base also allows the bike rack to tilt forward, making it easier to get into the back of SUVs and mini-vans. The tilting mechanism is also lockable.
