The bike rack base can be positioned to change the location of where the bikes sit.
The position above will have the bikes sit directly in front of the spare tire.
Roating the base allows the rack to carry bikes on an angle. For vehicles where the spare tire is off center, this allows you to position the bikes in the center of the vehicle.

After I watched the video for rack installation on line, then I give it a try. Wow! It really is a clever design and well solid material, I've never seen and tried a product like this on market before. This rack is super easy to install, remove and in compact size, light weight too. I can even carry it in my trunk without taking much space, slip it out and install in only couple minutes. It is safe and stable as well, and the price is right. I really love it.
