The hook and dial can be placed on either side of the rail which makes it easier to place the rack on the driver or passenger side of the vehicle.
Turning the dial closes the clamp which grabs the bike frame. To open, simply push the button located to the side of the dial. A lock cylinder (pictured) can be added to secure the bike to the Criterium rack.
To secure the wheels, straps are slid through the wheel and tightened with ratchets. Again, with a push of a button, the strap is let go to make bike removal quick and easy.
