Specs:
- Measures 14" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest wheel mount
- Wheel Mounts measure 2-1/2" wide by 14-1/2" long
- Measures 58" center of wheel mount to center of wheel mount (when the wheel mounts are at their widest point)
- Normal hitch locks are not compatible with this bike rack due to the built-in anti-rattle device.
Wheel mounts are adjustable to accept bikes with different lengths. Straps secure the wheels into the mounts.
The cushioned hook or cradle allows the carrier to secure many types of bike frames while protecting the bike's finish.
The main support arms tilt forward to make it easier to load and unload the back bike.
The wheel mount support arms also fold up making it easier to store the bike rack when not in use.

The directions were typical........ useless, but it was easy to assemble. I haven't used it yet, but it looks easy. It is heavy. It will require 2 people to install/remove from the vehicle. Also will need 2 people to put larger bike in it to carry. It sticks out over 5 feet from the rear of vehicle, so allow for this !!

this bike rack is great,much better than those you "hang" the bike on.it's easy to put together and use,it only sticks out about 4ft.2in. not 5ft.or more and you don't need help loading a bike,it does weight about 65lbs. so you might need help sliding it in your hitch. it's fully adustable for any size bike and does fold up.i would recommned it to anybody.

Just got the rack and installed it. It does stick out a good ways but how compact are 4 bikes gonna be? Holds bikes very nicely. Also bought the cable/hitch lock which I DID NOT LIKE. (separate review. The only other issue was that some of the plastic capsthat seal the tube ends had been knocked out/ damaged and now will not stay in place. No biggie. I'm going to contact the mfgr and try to get new caps(it would be better if they came uninstalled to prevent damage).

Had a Thule - one that "hung" on the back of our SUV. Bikes did not seem very secure when going down the road. One time we stopped the vehicle to check the bikes (something just didn't seem right) and one of the bottom straps had slipped off and was flapping in the wind! Then we bought the 4 bike sport rack. This one is SO MUCH MORE SECURE!! It's so easy to get the bikes on and off, and we still have access to the back of our SUV with no hassles. I would HIGHLY recommend this one! I feel our bikes are very secure when we use the Sports Rack.
