  • Quick and Easy
  • No Cutting, Splicing or Taping
  • Just Plug in the T-One Connector and You're Ready to Tow
  • Solid One Piece Construction
  • 16 Gauge Bonded Wire w/ 4-Flat Plug
  • "Factory" Appearance
  • Connector is Equipped with a Circuit Protected Modulite Powered Taillight Converter
    • Protects itself and the tow vehicle against harmful electrical shorts and mis-wire situations. Modulite also draws power for the lights on the trailer directly from the vehicle battery instead of through the vehicle's wiring system.
  • Simple Do-It-Yourself Instructions on Every Package
Can be used with 5-pole, 6-pole or 7-pole adapters.

Installation: Connection points are located behind the vehicle taillights which are accessed from inside the cargo area. An additional wire must be run along the frame to the battery to power the lights on the trailer. This battery wire can be run from the cargo area to the outside by loosening a couple bolts in the driver's side wheel well. The 4-pole trailer connector will be stowed in the rear cargo area when not in use.

Tech Tip: It is always a good idea to apply a small amount of grease to all electrical connections to help prevent corrosion.

Warning:
Overloading circuit can cause fires. Do not exceed lower of towing manufacturer rating or:
  • Max. stop/turn light: 1 per side (2.1 amps)
  • Max. tail lights: (4.2 amps)
Read vehicle's owners manual and instruction sheet for additional information.

Simple 1 Hour Install
Larry from Duvall, WA
This kit was installed on a 2008 Ford Edge in less than 1 hour. My wife said I should have it installed by someone who does hitchs. Well, they wanted 2 hours labor at $80 per hour plus parts. It was easy to say no to the installer. Got home and opened the kit up from eTrailer.com. The instructions were easy to follow. A couple of things will help you. When removing the tail lights, pull them straight out, don't pull them sideways. The wiring kit works by just pluging into the tail light plugs. There are no cutting or splicing requirements to install this kit. On the driver side under the trim next to the tail light there is a ground connector to connect the kit ground to. The instructions say to run the supplied black wire from the kit's black box to the battery by going under the car and weaving it on the frame up to the battery. I found it is much eaiser to just run the wire under the trim on the driver side. Just push the wire between the carpet and the trim. Once you get to the front, you will see a thick bundle of wires going throught the firewall in a large grommet. Just poke a small hole in the grommet and run the black wire to the battery via the supplied 15amp fuse. Button everything up and you're done. My wife was impressed how easy this kit was to install.

It's nice dealing with etraule
Bill from Blackiston, DE
This wiring harness looks more complicated than it is. Open the package and stretch out all the wires. The instructions are only fair for a first-timer but, go slow, read carefully and call etrailer if necessary. It's easy on the Ford Escape.
