Decent hitch, but has flaws

I just installed this hitch on my IS300 Sportcross. Final fitment isn't too great as it fits between the rearmost portion of the floor and the bumper cover. Once installed, it does not allow you to snap the bumper clips back in place.
Drilling the holes to mount the right side of the hitch was tricky as you need a fairly short drill to get into the space where the muffler sits. I used the shortest bit I had (1/16") to make starter holes, then drilled the 3/8 holes from the inside of the car. I would suggest having a set of transfer punches handy, it would make the job easier and more accurate.
I think the design could have been better as the RH side of the hitch bolts to the spare tire well instead of a frame member. I think they could have made a solid mount that went up to the RH frame rail (there's bolt holes up there) that would sneak under the heat shield. I'm sure doing so would be strong enough to be considered a Class 2 hitch.
I'm fairly mechanically inclined and this took me over 3 hours to install. It wasn't hard, just tricky.
