Picked one of these up in late June for a trip thru Northern Kentucky to the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee in July. We needed something to put our luggage in since the out of town family maxed out the seating capacity in our Tahoe. Since we already added a Trailer Hitch from etrailer.com that we added two years ago when we moved from California to Kentucky, to pull a car trailer, it was a no brainier to find something to make use of that hitch. The Rola Trailer Hitch Mounted Railed Cargo Carrier seemed to be the best value vs. design so that is the one we went with. Additionally we picked up the LED Light Kit, the Anti Rattle/Vibration Pin and the Cargo Stretch Net at the same time. The order shipped and was onsite within a couple days.
Etrailer did a great job packing the entire order into one box. My little 3 year old (he is the foreman) and I had the Cargo Carrier assembled within an hour. After reviewing the Lighting instructions and doing a sample fit I decided to pick up some wire loom to cover the wires and give a finished professional look. Lighting installed with loom in an hour. Then the test fit and a smile!
My wife used the carrier to move a large BBQ before our trip and told me she actually forgot it was back there until she got to the destination. I attribute this to the anti rattle pin. She was pleased and wonder why we didn’t by this sooner.
The trip came and went and the carrier made it a dream. We now use this carrier on excursions since it is so easy to use and has such a great weight capacity.
