This ball mount offers two distinguishing features that provide a smooth towing experience. First, a threaded, stainless steel hitch pin weaves securely through a threaded hole in the ball mount. This innovation pulls the ball mount to the receiver tube and eliminates the horizontal (left-to-right) gap that leads to rattling. Second, as the ball mount is pulled to the side, the floating "gold wedge" is pushed to the top of the receiver tube and wedged in place. This prevents the ball mount from moving vertically (up and down) in the receiver tube, eliminating slack in all directions.
The hitch pin includes a brass lock with a dust cover to protect it from road debris. With a maximum 10,000lbs gross towing weight, this ball mount slides into any 2" hitch receiver and offers a 1-1/4" ball shank hole with a bushing for 1" ball shanks. It is constructed from a single piece of forged, heat-treated aluminum.
