Questions from Nissan Murano owners about this Bike Rack

  • Thule Hitching Post Pro 4 Bike Carrier, part # TH934XTR, will fit both Class I and II, 1-1/4 or 2 hitches. If you have a Class I, 1-1/4 inch hitch you will only be able to carry 2 bikes on this rack. You will want to check your hitch to make sure you do not exceed the tongue weight capacity when carrying the bike rack and bikes. The Thule Hitching Post Pro 4 Bike Carrier, part # TH934XTR, will work with your 2009 Nissan Murano in a 1-1/4 or 2 hitch. This bike rack has anti-sway...

Questions from Nissan Murano owners about this Bike Rack

  • For 3 bike, trunk mounted racks both Thule and Yakima do not recommend using the racks on your 2010 Nissan Murano. Thule states that the carrier is not recommended because top straps should not be mounted directly to glass or plastic trim covering glass. Yakima states the same but adds if it must be done you must limit the load to only two bikes. You could install a hitch like the Hidden Hitch Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 87486, and add a bike rack like the SportRack...

Questions from Nissan Murano owners about this Bike Rack

  • If you need to transport only 2 bikes on your 2015 Nissan Murano then you have several trunk-mount rack options from Thule, all of which can be seen on the included link. Two of these 2-bike racks include locks to both secure the rack to your Murano and your loaded bikes to the rack. These carriers are the Archway XT # TH9009XT and the outstanding Raceway 2 # TH9001PRO, which is among the most user-friendly trunk racks on the market. The Raceway 2 uses vinyl-coated steel...

  • Yes, the Thule Passage, # TH910XT, is recommended for use on your 2011 Nissan Murano as long as it is not a CrossCabriolet model. This is a good quality rack that will work well for you. I added a link to all of the trunk mount bike racks that will fit on the 2011 Murano. Another rack you might want to consider for ease of installation and removal is the Thule Raceway 2 Bike Carrier, # TH9001PRO, which also fits the your vehicle. You may also need the Thule Bike Adapter,...

  • Due to the shape of the rear of the Murano, there are not any trunk/hatch mounted bike racks available for that vehicle. You do have a couple of options for carrying bikes on your Murano. You could install a hitch like Hidden Hitch part # 87486 or Curt part # 13577. Both of these will fit your vehicle well and not require any drilling. From there you could choose from a large selection of bike racks for 2 inch hitches. We have basic hanging racks like SportRack part # SR2403...

  • The best trunk bike rack we offer for your 2007 Nissan Murano is the Thule Raceway part # TH9001PRO. What makes this rack far superior to the others is the attachment system. It uses 4 retractable coated steel cables to attach to the vehicle rather than 6 nylon straps like other racks. This makes installation quick and easy and the cables also last longer. The cables store inside the rack so there are no loose straps ends to flap around. The cables can also be locked into...

  • There is only one 3-bike trunk mount carrier that will fit your 2004 Nissan Murano. It is the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top rack # HRF2-3. This carrier is the only one that will work because it has an extra arm piece at the top to move the straps up so no stress is placed on the spoiler at the top of the hatch. I have linked a video showing how it works on a similar vehicle. To carry womens and childrens bikes you will likely need an adapter bar, # 64005, to keep them level....

Questions from Nissan Murano owners about this Bike Rack

  • Thule does list the Gateway 2, # TH9006XT as a fit for the 2007 Nissan Murano. Pictures are not available and we have not yet installed this bike rack on a Murano but Thule has determined how the bike rack would need to mount to the vehicle. You would place top clips in the gap at the front edge of the top of the hatch. The lower clips will be placed in the bottom edge of the hatch. The lower arm will set in the space between the license plate well and the upper tier of the...

  • The upper attachment hooks of the Thule Gateway will attach to the top edge of the hatch, and the bottom hooks connect at the bottom edge of the hatch. The rack would rest completely on the hatch itself. Although they state that the Gateway 2 bike rack is a fit for your Murano, Thule does NOT under any circumstances recommend opening the hatch while the rack is installed on the vehicle. The extra weight of the rack might damage the hatch or prevent the hatch from staying open...

  • I checked with Thule and the Thule Gateway XT Bike Rack part # TH9006XT that you referenced has been confirmed as a fit for your 2015 Nissan Murano so it would work well for you. I attached a review video for this rack for you to check out as well. This rack uses 4 lockable rubber coated steel cables to attach to your vehicle that will install more securely and quicker than the 6 fabric straps that other racks use that could be easily cut. Questions from Nissan Murano owners about this Bike Rack

  • I show that the 2014 Nissan Murano takes a Class III trailer hitch with a 2 inch hitch opening, so yes, it will be compatible with the Kuat Beta 2 Bike Rack, # B202-2, which you reference. If you do not have a trailer hitch I would recommend the Hidden Hitch # 87486, which is a Class III hitch that has a 2 inch receiver hitch opening, as long as you do not have the CrossCabriolet model. Questions from Nissan Murano owners about this Bike Rack

  • I do have some trunk mount bike rack options for you, but according to Yakima, the KingJoe Pro racks will not fit a 2007 Nissan Murano. Instead take a look at the Thule Raceway 2, # TH9001PRO, for a 2 bike rack (the 3-bike version is not listed as a fit). The Raceway racks feature locks for the bikes and the rack. Yakima does not recommend using a trunk/hatch mounted bike rack on the 2003-2007 Murano. This is due to the lack of a secure place to mount the side straps. To carry three bikes, a receiver mounted bike rack is going to be your best option. I would...

As you can see, I've already got it mounted and into the receiver of the Nissan Murano so you can get a good look and see what it looks like. Let's go ahead and go over a few things and we'll show you how it works. We've got the two straps here securing the top portion of the frame. Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Nissan Murano

Today on our 2015 Nissan Murano, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Vertex Hanging Style 4 Bike Rack. As you can see we've already got our bike up here in place so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and on the back of your vehicle. This is going to be part number TH9029XT. Let's start off by getting a few measurements starting with our closest distance first down here at the bottom flange to the back side of the bumper that's going to be about 1 1/2 inches. Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle from the backside of the bumper to the backside of the cradle arms is going to be about 35 1/2 inches and our rear ground clearance will be about 9 3/4 inches to the bottom side of the shank here. All right let's talk about how the bike is secured to our rack. You are going to have an alternating strap on every other side as you can see here. Those lower hanging straps are going to be your most important straps.

Kuat Sherpa Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Nissan Murano

Today on our 2015 Nissan Murano, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Kuat Sherpa Platform Style 2 Bike Rack, part number S103. As you can see we've already got our bike up here on our platform so you can see what's going to look like once its fully assembled and on the back of your vehicle. Let's start off by getting a few measurements. Note that this rack does have or the bike that we are using on here does have road pedals and it's going to be pretty close to the back end of this vehicle. Noted here you have our mountain bike or another bike such as that it may have wider pedals that may interfere with the back of your vehicle and actually make contact. Let's go ahead and get your measurements for our shortest distance from the rack to the back of the vehicle at about 4 7/8 inches. Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle from the rear of the rack to the back of the bumper at about 27 inches and our ground clearance from the back side to the ground at about 20 3/4 inches. Now that we've gone over those basic, those first dimensions on how far we've added to the vehicle, let's go ahead and put it in the tilt position.

Kuat NV Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Nissan Murano

Today on our 2015 Nissan Murano we're going to be doing a test fit of the Kuat NV platform-style 2-bike rack, part number N105. As you can see, we've already got our bike on the platform so you can see what it's going to look like once it's fully assembled and in place on the back of your vehicle. Let's go ahead and start off by getting a few measurements. Note that your pedals may play in a variation of how close it's going to be to the back of your vehicle. These are going to be your road pedals so they're going to be a little bit different than your mountain bike pedals. Might be a little bit closer. Let's go ahead and get the measurement from the rack to the backside of the bumper.

Yakima FullTilt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Nissan Murano

Today on our 2015 Nissan Murano we're going to be doing a test fit of the Yakima FullTilt hanging-style 4-bike rack. As you can see, we've already got our bike up here and in place so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and on the back of your vehicle. This is going to be part number Y02462. Let's start off by getting a few measurements, starting with our closest distance first down here at the bottom flange to the backside of the bumper. It's going to be about 6-1/4". Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle from the backside of the bumper to the backside of the cradle arm is going to be about 37". Our ground clearance from the bottom of the fin on the bottom side of the shank at about 9". Now let's talk about how our bike is secured to our rack.

Curt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Nissan Murano

Today on our 2015 Nissan Murano, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Curt Premium 4 Hanging Style 4 Bike Rack, part number C18064. As you can see, we've already got a bike up here on our platform, completely assembled so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it on your vehicle. Let's start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest measurement will be down here on the front hand side, from the T handle to the back side of the bumper, at about 3 3/4 inches. This rack does come with a two inch shank for your two inch receivers only and it's going to be attached using an anti-rattle bolt, which we'll go over in a few minutes. Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle will be from the bumper to the backside of the cradle arms at about 32 inches. Ground clearance from the backside at about 9 1/2 inches. Moving up top, we'll talk about how the bike is secured to the rack.

Curt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Nissan Murano

Today on our 2014 Nissan Murano we will be doing a test fit of the Curt Premium Tilting Four Bike Rack. That's part number C18064. As you can see I've already got the bike mounted and the bike rack loaded onto the Murano here, just to give you a good idea of what it looks like. Let's go ahead and show you how it works. Our bike is held in place by these three straps here. I've got one here on our first cradle and then we've got two. One specific one will be our anti-sway strap.

Yakima FullSwing Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Nissan Murano

Today on our 2014 Nissan Murano we're going to be doing a test fit of the Yakima FullSwing. This is going to be a 4-bike rack and it's going to be part number Y02465. This is for 2" hitches only. We'll go ahead and put that in our 2" receiver that we have here today. Go ahead and set it on there and make sure that the auto-pin is in so it will slide in easy. The # TH9001PRO is lighter, has upgraded cradles with road dampening technology, as well as an improved spooling mechanism for the cables, and the arms have the ability to move independent of each other. If you plan...

  • The Hollywood Racks Trunk Bike Rack, part # HRF2-3 would be a great bike carrier for your 2009 Nissan Murano. As you can see in the attached photo, the upper straps of the # HRF2-3 attach above the spoiler to the seam that separates the hatch and the roof or to raised side rails if your Murano has them. This bike rack has a 3 bike capacity at 35 lbs per bike and folds down for easy storage when not in use. I have attached a product review video you can check out. The video...

  • I checked with Thule and the Thule Gateway XT Bike Rack part # TH9006XT that you referenced has been confirmed as a fit for your 2015 Nissan Murano so it would work well for you. I attached a review video for this rack for you to check out as well. If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Swagman Easy-Out Women's and Alternative Frame Bike Adapter # 64005 to provide a horizontal...

  • To carry 3 bikes using a trunk mounted carrier on your 2011 Nissan Murano you can use the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top rack # HRF2-3. This rack has an additional upper arm piece that moves the top straps up and over that spoiler so no weight is put on it (since the spoiler is not meant to support weight). I have included a link to a video that shows how it works. If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical...

  • The easiest to use and nicest trunk mounted bike rack we offer that is confirmed to fit your 2007 Nissan Murano is the Thule Raceway part # TH9001PRO. What makes this rack far superior to the others is the attachment system. It uses 4 retractable coated steel cables to attach to the vehicle rather than 6 nylon straps like other racks. This makes installation quick and easy and the cables also last longer. The cables store inside the rack so there are no loose straps ends...

  • We do have trunk mount bike racks that are a confirmed fit your 2012 Nissan Murano. I recommend going with the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Bike Carrier, which is specially designed for vehicles with hatchbacks with spoilers like your Murano. For the 2-bike carrier you will want part # HRF2. For a 3-bike rack you will want part # HRF2-3. This Over-the-Top bike rack lets you carry up to 3 bikes on the back of your vehicle without the fear of the rack's mounting straps or...

  • The Thule Raceway 2 Bike Carrier, part # TH9001PRO, will fit both your 1997 Infiniti QX4 (as long as it does not have the rear-mounted spare tire) and your 2004 Nissan Murano. Please note that for both vehicles the carrier will not allow use of the rear wiper. Mounting clips will attach to the top and bottom edges of the rear hatch; the lower arm of the carrier will rest in the area between the license plate well and upper tier of the bumper. This excellent 2-bike carrier...

  • The best fitting trunk mounted bike rack that we carry that is confirmed to fit your 2011 Nissan Murano would be the Thule Raceway part # TH9001PRO. While other racks will use 6 cumbersome fabric straps that could easily be cut by a thief the # TH9001PRO uses 4 rubber coated, steel cables that installation easier and more secure. Check out the review video I attached. If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be...

  • Of the confirmed fits for your 2007 Nissan Murano I believe the Thule Raceway Bike Rack part # TH9001XT would be the best fit for you to carry 2 bikes. This is one of the nicest trunk mounted bike racks available because of its many features and relatively lightweight. This rack uses 4 lockable rubber coated steel cables to attach to your vehicle that will install more securely and quicker than the 6 fabric straps that other racks use that could be easily cut. This rack also...

  • Thule tells me that several of their 2 Bike Racks like the Raceway # TH9001PRO, Archway # TH9009XT, Gateway # TH9006XT and Passage # TH910XT will all fit the 2004 Murano, but the hatch is not strong enough to accommodate 3 bikes. Yakima does not recommend using a trunk/hatch mounted bike rack on the 2003-2007 Murano. This is due to the lack of a secure place to mount the side straps. To carry three bikes, a receiver mounted bike rack is going to be your best option. I would...

  • The best economical trunk mount bike rack for a 2007 Nissan Murano is the Thule Passage 2, # TH910XT. This rack fits your stated budget and it is light weight and includes anti-sway cradles. I have included some informational links on this rack for you. If you will be carrying womens, childrens, or alternative frame bikes, I recommend using the Thule adapter bar, # TH982XT, for greater ground clearance and to carry the bikes more level. • Thule does not recommend the use of their 3 bike trunk racks on your 2011 Nissan Murano, so even though the # TH9002PRO would fit (since the # TH9001PRO is listed as a fit), I can't recommend you carry 3 bikes with this rack. There is a trunk mounted bike rack that has been confirmed to fit your vehicle that can carry 3 bikes though. The Hollywood Rack Over the Top part # HRF2-3 has been confirmed to fit your vehicle so I would recommend it for you. I attached a review video...

  • The Thule Raceway 2 Bike Rack, part # TH9001PRO, can carry 2 bikes and will fit your 2011 Nissan Murano. It has a total weight capacity of 70 lbs. The Thule Raceway 3 Bike Rack, part # TH9002PRO, that you have referenced will not work on your Murano. Thule does not recommend a 3 bike trunk mounted bike rack for your vehicle. Yakima does list the Yakima King Joe Pro 3 Trunk Bike Rack, part # Y02625, as a fit for your vehicle but it does require the use of the glass hatch...

  • the only trunk mount bike racks that will fit the 2007 Nissan Murano are the 2 bike models from Thule, see link. the Raceway 2, # TH9001PRO will fit. The vehicle cannot support the weight of 3 bike models. If you need to carry 3 bikes I recommend adding a trailer hitch, like # 87448, and using a hitch mount bike rack like the Trailhead 3, # S63365. This bike rack features anti-sway cradles, the ability to tilt away from the vehicle, and an integrated cable lock. I have...
