What our customers are saying:

Sent out an e-mail to you earlier this week asking which hitch woudld be the best choice for installing on a 2000 Venture van for hauling a bike rack with two bikes. You suggested the one that would be easiest to install..received in a matter of days..installation went great ..very well thought out instructions. Everything went smooothly and the hitch is up nice and snug..doesn't stick out..looks great.

Today on our 2008 Kia Sportage, we are going to be test fitting the RockyMounts TieRod Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part number RKY1014. Our Sportage is already equipped with a full factory roof rack system, so were going to mount our tierod directly to the factory crossbars. To do this, well set the carrier up on top of the crossbars, well then take the rubber coated steel strap at the front of the carrier, wrap them around our crossbars and re-secure them to the head. At this point we can go ahead and tighten it down with an Allen key. At the rear of the vehicle we will take the clamp, fit it around our rear crossbar and use the wing nuts to tighten down the rear clamp. Once thats all done our bike rack is installed and were ready to start putting a bike on.

Well move back up to the head of the bike rack while were tying down the Allen bolt securing the rubber coated steel straps to the front crossbar. We can then open up our front skewer preparing our bike rack for the front fork of our bike, then well move back to the rear wheel strap while were under the strap to make sure its out if the way. Well place the bike in to the carrier making sure that the front fork falls into to the skewer.
