Questions from Honda Pilot owners about this product

  • Draw Tite Hitch and Thule Parkway 4 Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2004 Honda Pilot
  • For a hitch I would recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75599. This is a Class III hitch that would work very well for using a bike rack with. I attached installation instructions and an installation video for you to check out also. Now for a 4 bike rack the Thule Parkway 4 Bike Rack # TH956 would be a very good choice and would work very well on your vehicle with the # 75599 hitch I recommended. I attached a review video for this product for you to check out also. If you plan on carry

  • Easy to Load Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack Recommendation for a Shorter Person
  • There is another alternative to hanging bike racks. You could use a platform style bike rack. It would be much easier to load the bikes for someone under 5 feet tall. Take a look at SportRack 4 Bike Hitch Mounted Rack, # A30902LR. This rack would work well for bikes of different sizes like kid bikes and the cruiser. I have included a link to a video review of this rack.

  • Recommendation for 4 Bike Hitch Mounted Rack for a 2011 Honda Pilot with Class III 2 Inch Hitch
  • A good place to start for a 4-bike hitch rack for your 2011 Honda Pilot would be the Yakima bike rack, part # Y02404. This bike rack has a weight capacity of 120lbs and has a tilting feature that allows you to lower the rack away from the vehicle for access to your rear cargo area. I am including a link to a video review of the Yakima bike rack. Another popular bike rack we sell is the Thule Parkway 4-bike Rack, part # TH956. This is also a tilting bike rack and has a weight capacity of 165lb

  • Recommendation for an Economical 2 Inch Hitch Bike Rack for Carrying 4 Bikes On a 2011 Honda Pilot
  • We have several economical options for carrying 4 bikes in the Class 3 hitch on your 2011 Honda Pilot. For my money, the best rack would be the Yakima BigHorn 4 Bike Hitch Mounted Tilting Rack w Frame Mount Cradles, # Y02404. The BigHorn rack is at the lower end of the price range with some high end options like anti-sway cradles, and tilting upright bar to allow easy access to the rear of the vehicle. Next, the Thule Parkway, # TH956, that you referred to would be a good choice. It also t

  • Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2006 Honda Pilot
  • First, we should start with a trailer hitch for the 2006 Honda Pilot. All of the hitches for your vehicle are class III hitches with a 2 inch receiver. A 2 inch receiver will afford you numerous accessory options including bike racks. Hitch # 13256 you have referenced is for a different vehicle and will not fit. Instead, I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 75599. Draw-Tite is one of the leaders in the towing industry and this hitch is the right size for the Thule Bike Rack, # TH956. I

  • Will Thule Parkway 4 Bike TH956 fit a 2010 Honda Pilot
  • The Thule Parkway 4 Bike Hitch Mounted Folding Rack with Frame Mount Cradles, # TH956, will fit a 2010 Honda Pilot if: 1) it has a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver trailer hitch and 2) the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the furthest point at the rear of the vehicle is less than 9-1/2 inches.

Questions from Honda Pilot owners about this product

  • Trailer Hitch and Swinging Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2005 Honda Pilot
  • The anti-sway feature on the Thule Apex, # TH9027, is something that will A) vary from user to user as some can get it tighter than others and B) tend to work better as it is broken in some. The benefits of the Apex over the Vertex, # TH9031 will provide an overall better bike carrying experience. The cradles are one of the biggest differences. The cradles have road-dampening technology; cushioned cradles to absorb shock and vibration. This is ideal for higher end bikes with sensitive frames

Questions from Honda Pilot owners about this product

  • Can the Rear Glass be Opened on a 2011 Honda Pilot with a Loaded Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack
  • I went out to the warehouse and assembled a Swagman XTC4, # S64665, mounted it on a 2011 Honda Pilot, and loaded a bike on it. The bike was a smaller womens mountain bike. I was able to open the glass with about a half inch of room to spare. Putting a smaller bike in this position would make it more likely to open the back glass. I also made a short video for you demonstrating the space I had with the above set up.

  • The Swagman XTC4, # S64665, will work on your Honda Pilot if you have a 2 inch receiver opening on your trailer hitch. If you do not, I can recommend a hitch but I need the year of your Honda Pilot. But if you do have a 2 inch hitch, the rack will work with your specific bikes. It will accommodate wheels up to 2-1/2 inches wide, and the hooks will fit over many types of frames. As long as the bikes do not have a wheel base of more than 61 inches (center of wheel to center of wheel) the bikes

Questions from Honda Pilot owners about this product

  • How Far Out Does the Thule Hitching Post Pro 4 Bike Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack Extend
  • I spoke with my contact at Thule. She went and measured a Hitching Post Pro 4 Bike Rack, # TH934XTR from the hitch pin hole to the end of the arms. She came up with approximately 38-1/2 inches. The cradles can be slid a little back and forth on the arms. Another important factor is the length of the bikes you put on it so take that into consideration when making calculations. I have included a link to a video for this bike rack.

Questions from Honda Pilot owners about this product

  • What are the Differences Between the Thule Doubletrack and Yakima StickUp Bike Racks
  • The build quality on both racks is excellent. Thule and Yakima are big hitters in the business and both of them build good racks. The Thule Doubletrack, part # TH990XT, does have a couple features that the Yakima Stickup, part # Y02420, does not. First is the tilt function. Both racks tilt down. The Thule uses a quick-release switch that you can manipulate with your hand or foot. To get the Yakima Stickup to tilt down, you would have to bend over and pull a spring pin. The Thule Doubletrac
