Today on our 2011 Ford Flex and we'll going to be test fitting part number TH934XTR. This is the Thule Hitching Post Pro Folding and Tilting Four Bike Rack with Anti-sway Cradles. Now, to begin our test fit we'll slide our bike rack shank into the hitch, line-up the hitch pinhole and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. We'll now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 10 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is approximately 6-1/2 inches.
Rhode Gear Highway Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Ford Flex

Today on our 2011 Ford Flex we'll be test fitting part number RG8015220. This is the Rhodegear highway 2 bike carrier for both 1-1/4 inch and 2 inch hitches. Today we have a 2011 Ford Flex and we'll be test fitting the Yakima Frontloader Roof-Mounted Bike Carrier part number Y02103. To mount our carrier to our roof rack we'll lift it up and set it on top of our crossbars. We'll fit the front clamp around our front crossbar and use the hand knob to tighten it down. Then we'll slide the rear clamp into position over the rear bar and use the T-bolt and wing nut to tighten it down. Now, we can prep to load a bike. We need to make sure that the front wheel hoop is up and that our wheel strap at the back of the bike carrier is open.
Swagman Fork Down Roof Bike Rack Review - 2011 Ford Flex

Today we have a 2011 Ford Flex and we're going to be test fitting the Swagman Fork-Down Roof-Mounted Bike Carrier part number S64710. To mount the carrier to our vehicle we're going to set it up on top of our load bars. We'll fit 2 U-bolts around the load bar up at the front and secure them with the wing nuts. At the rear we'll fit the U-bolt down through the bike rack and over our load bar. We'll take a plate and fit it over the U-bolt from the bottom and secure the plate with 2 wing nuts. With that done our bike rack is secured to roof rack and we're ready to load up a bike.
RockyMounts TieRod Roof Bike Rack Review - 2011 Ford Flex

Today on our 2011 Ford Flex we're going to be test fitting the Rockymounts Tierod Roof-Mounted Bike Carrier, part number RKY1014. To mount our bike carrier to our vehicle, we'll simply place it in top of our load bars. At the front we'll feed the straps around our load bar and re-secure them back into the head of the bike rack. We'll use an Allen wrench to tighten those straps down. Then we can reinstall the cover in the head of the bike rack and we'll also make sure that our skewer is open. Then we'll move to the rear of the bike rack where we can secure the clamp around the load bar using the two wing nuts.
RockyMounts Euro PitchFork Roof Bike Rack Review - 2011 Ford Flex

Today we're working with a 2011 Ford Flex and we're going to test fit the Rockymounts Euro Pitchfork Roof-Mounted Bike Carrier, part number RKY1103. This bike carrier is designed to work with roof racks that have a T-slot up in the center of the roof bar. So the first thing we need to do is remove the rubber strip from the T-slot and the bar at the front of our bike rack. Now, this rubber strip can either be cut to fit and reinstalled or left out. To mount the bike rack we're going to fit the block at the front of the bike rack into the T-slot on our front load bar. We'll get it in position and we'll use an Allen wrench to snug it down.

Today on this 2009 Ford Flex, we're going to do a test fit of part number Y02103 from Yakima; this is a Front loader Bike Carrier. A few notes about this bicycle rack is that it does not require you to remove the front wheel on the bike if it's round, square, and factory crossbars. On this particular vehicle we'll be using the Yakima Roof Rack System. The adjustable arm provides a sure fit for any size wheels. Now we're going to start off our test fit with the bike rack already assembled according to the instructions, so we just got to put it on the roof rack. We'll line it at the front clamp with the front crossbar, and then we'll loosely install it and then go to the back clamp and loosely install it onto the roof rack for the second crossbar.

All right today, on this 2009 Ford Flex, we're going to do a test fit of part number Y02098 from Yakima, this is a Forklift Bicycle Rack. A few notes about this bicycle rack that it will work with round crossbars, and square crossbars and most factory crossbars. Now with this particular vehicle, we will be working with the Yakima Roof Rack System. To start off our test fit, our bicycle rack were already assembled according to the instructions, so we just kind of put it on the roof rack. We'll start off by lining the front clamp up with the front crossbar, and then we'll go ahead and tighten it down but loose enough where you can still move it around and will go on to the back clamp in protecting the place as well. Then we'll go ahead and move the bike rack to the position that we want, then we'll go ahead and tighten down both clamps.
