Chrysler Sebring Hitch Bike Racks Questions

  • A Class II trailer hitch can support 4 bikes on a rack provided that the vehicle towing capacities are also high enough to support the weight of 4 bikes plus the rack. Check the owners manual to determine the vehicles towing capacity. The Class II trailer hitches that we carry, see link, have a tongue weight capacity of 300 pounds. • The SportRack 2 Bike Carrier, # SR2901, will fit Class I and II trailer hitches with 1-1/4 inch receivers, like the one on your Sebring, and 2 inch trailer hitches with the included adapter sleeve. The hooks on the rack can travel the length of the mast so a womens bike or any alternative frame bike will not be an issue and the rack will hold it nicely. I have linked a video review and the installation details for this bike rack for you.

When carrying bikes with alternative frames like women's bikes or kids bikes I recommend an adapter bar like part # TH982XT. This attaches between the seat post and the handlebar stem and allows the...

I had a chance to use the Raceway series of racks and they are probably the easiest racks to put on/take off. What makes it so easy is because it uses retractable cables instead of straps to secure to the vehicle. If you will be carrying womens, childrens, or alternative frame bikes, I recommend using the bike adapter bar, # TH982XT, in order to hold the bikes more level. I have...
