Today in our 2012 Chevrolet Suburban were going to do a test fit of the Curt Folding Aluminum Cargo Carrier for 2 Hitches part No. C18100. With our vehicle already equipped with our 2-inch hitch in our cargo carrier are already preassembled we can go ahead and slide the 2 shank cargo carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. Well line up the hitch pinhole and install the pin and clip secured to the vehicle. Alright, with our cargo carrier secured to the vehicle this is what it looks like in its stored position. Lets go ahead and take quick measurements.
UWS Aluminum Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Chevrolet Suburban
Today in our 2012 Chevrolet Suburban were going to a test fit of the UWS ALUMINUM 2-inch CARGO CARRIER Part No. UWS03511. Our vehicle is already are equipped with a 2-inch hitch and with our cargo carrier preassembled, we can simply go ahead and slide the shank of the cargo carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. Then well insert the pin and clip to secure it. Next, well go ahead and take a couple measurements. From the nearest point of the cargo carrier to the nearest point of the bumper is 3 inches.
Surco Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Chevrolet Suburban
Today on our 2012 Chevy Suburban, were going to test fit the Surco Folding Cargo Carrier for 2-inch hitches, part number 52018F. With our vehicle already equipped with a 2-inch hitch and our cargo carrier already preassembled, we can go ahead and slide the 2-inch shank into the 2-inch receiver tube on the hitch. Then well insert the pin and clip to secure it to the vehicle. Alright, with our pin and clips securing the cargo carrier to the hitch, this is what our cargo carrier will look like when its in a stored position. Lets go ahead and pull the pin located at the base of the cargo carrier and fold the cargo carrier down into its loading position. Alright, with our platform down, heres what our cargo carrier will look like in the loading position.
Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Chevrolet Suburban
Today on our 2012 Chevy Suburban, were going to test fit the Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4-inch and 2-inch hitches part number C18145. With our vehicle already equipped with the 2-inch hitch and our cargo carrier already preassembled with the 2-inch bushing for 2-inch hitches on our cargo carrier shank, were ready to go ahead and insert the cargo carrier shank into the receiver tube of the hitch. Well line up the hitch pinholes and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt and safety clip. As you can see, once weve tightened down the anti-rattle bolt, it really takes out any sway or movement between the cargo carrier and the hitch. Now, lets go ahead and take a couple of measurements. From the nearest point of our cargo carrier to the nearest point on our bumper is 3-1/4 inches.
Yakima RocketBox Pro 11 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2012 Chevrolet Suburban
Today on our 2012 Chevy Suburban were going to do a test fit of the Yakima Rocker Box Pro 11 part #: y07193. With this vehicle equipped with the manufactures full roof rack system and our Rocker Box preassembled were going to go ahead and set it in place. We recommend to get a second set of hands to get the box set up on the roof line. With the Rocket Box in position and the clamps over the crossbars were now going to go ahead and open it up and tighten it down with the hand knobs inside the rocket box. With the Rocket Boxs dual lid opening design it can be mounted to the passenger or driver side. Now we have the hand knobs tightened down the Rocket Box is secured to the cargo rack and were ready to hit the road.
