Today on this 2012 Chevrolet Silverado were going to do a test fit of part number VGM-07-4000. This is the Stromberg Carlson 4000 series fifth wheel levered tailgate. Well start off our test fit by removing the original tailgate and then well go ahead and install our new tailgate in the same fashion as the original one went in. Well start off on the drivers side. Well put it on the hinge, and then well go over to the passengers side and hold the tailgate at about a 45 degree angle and slide it on to the pin there. Next well go ahead and install the cables onto the original factory mounts.

Today on this 2012 Chevrolet Silverado, were going to do a test fit of part number VGM-07-100 from Stromberg Carlson. This is our 100 series fifth wheel tailgate, and has a convenient cutout for towing a fifth wheel or gooseneck hitch when youre hitching up. Well start off our test fit with the tailgate already removed from our truck, so lets go ahead and install our new tailgate in the same fashion the original tailgate would. Well start off by sliding the tailgate into the hinge onto the drives side, then well go over to the passengers side, line up the hinge, put the tailgate at about a 45 degree angle and slide it into place. Well go ahead and push it up until our latches meet the pins on the bed. Now well do one pin at a time.

Today on this 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, we're going to do a test fit of part number HL15240. This is the Fifth Wheel Tailgate from Husky Liner. To start off the test fit, we already went ahead and removed the factory tailgate. Now, we'll go ahead and install the new Fifth Wheel Tailgate. Basically, it installs as the same way as the original tailgate. We'll start by installing the pin on the driver's side into the tailgate and we'll go to the passenger's side and we'll line up the slot and put it into place.

This will be your handle of sorts for the latch locks. Next we'll go ahead and take the machine screws and lock nuts and attach the latch assembly to the tailgate. You set right in the middle of adjustment points on the tailgate.

Today on our 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, we'll be installing the Stromberg Carlson Louvered 5th-Wheel Tailgate, part number VGM-07-4000. And with that, we'll go ahead and start our installation. We have two cables, a set of keys for the tailgate, a plastic insert that will go with the rubber tailgate insert, two bolts, four wood screws, four machine screws, and four clips for the machine screws.
