The angled shank will raise the carrier 2 inches above the top of the receiver, and the closest portion of the basket itself will be 9 inches rearward of the hitch pin hole. • I used to have 2004 Honda Shadow. I do know that wet, it was pushing 600 pounds or more. The weight capacity of the Rage Carrier, # MX600 is 600 pounds. The hitch and truck would also need to have a tongue weight capacity as high or higher than the combined weight of the bike and carrier. The carrier weight about 60 pounds.
