Questions from Chevrolet Equinox owners about this product

  • Availability of Bike Rack To Fit on 2005 Chevrolet Equinox With Factory Spoiler
  • Thule does list the Thule Raceway 2 Bike Trunk Rack, part # TH9001, as a fit on a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox, but makes no mention of a fit with a spoiler. The directions say to place the top clips in the gap at the front edge of the top of the hatch. I would check your vehicle and determine if the top clips can attach to the top edge of your hatch without touching the spoiler. If the straps can attach without interfering with the spoiler you should be able to use the trunk bike rack. You do not wan

  • Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox with Rear Spoiler
  • At this time there is not a trunk mounted bike rack that I can recommend for your 2006 Chevrolet Equinox because of the spoiler you mentioned. My recommendation would be to install a trailer hitch and hitch mounted bike rack. This option has the advantage of allowing you to access the rear of the vehicle without removing the bike rack each time, and you can carry a cargo carrier or tow as your needs may change in the future, so a hitch makes your vehicle more versatile. • Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox with a Rear Spoiler
  • I would not recommend using a trunk mounted bike rack on your 2005 Chevrolet Equinox if it has a rear spoiler. The upper straps of the bike rack must attach to the top edge of your rear hatch and the only way to do that is to go over your spoiler. Spoilers are not designed to support the weight of a bike rack or bikes and it is likely that the spoiler will bend and break. Instead, I would recommend using a hitch mounted bike rack like the Thule Vertex 2 Bike Rack, # TH9028. This bike rack is

  • Fit of Thule Raceway Trunk Mounted Bike Rack # TH9001 on 2012 Chevy Equinox
  • The Thule Raceway 2 Bike Rack, part # TH9001 will fit your 2012 Chevy Equinox. I have verified this with Thule. Make sure that you do NOT operate the rear wiper with the rack installed. For womens bikes or bikes with sharply angled top tubes or step-through frames, using a frame adapter like part # TH982XT is recommended. The adapter spans the distance between the seat post and the handle bar gooseneck, and provides a level attachment point to the bike rack so the bike is not carried at an an

  • What Will the Thule Raceway # TH9001 Look Like When Installed on 2011 Chevy Equinox
  • According to Thule, the 2 bike Raceway model, part # TH9001 is considered a fit for your Equinox. Because we have not yet had the opportunity to test-fit the rack on that vehicle, we unfortunately do not have any photos available at this time. When the rack is mounted, be sure that you DO NOT use the rear wiper. In my opinion, the Raceway is our most visually appealing trunk mounted bike rack we offer. Before installing a trunk mounted rack, make absolutely sure that all parts of the rack and

Questions from Chevrolet Equinox owners about this product

  • Recommended 2 or 4 Bike Platform Type Rack for 2011 Chevy Equinox
  • For a two bike platform rack that is compatible with your Curt Class III Receiver, I can highly recommend the Swagman XTC-2, part # S64670. The XTC is an upgrade of the XC model you referenced, it has stronger wheel hoops with straps to secure your bike wheels. The XTC2 can also handle bikes with wheel bases up to 66 inches, while the XC is limited to 51-1/2 inches. Either rack would include an anti-rattle hitch bolt, but I recommend using a locking hitch bolt and cable lock combo, part # S64

Questions from Chevrolet Equinox owners about this product

  • Compatibility of Thule Passage Trunk Mount Bike Rack # TH910XT with 2008 Chevy Equinox
  • The Thule Passage bike rack you referred to, part # TH910XT will indeed fit your 2008 Equinox. While the rack is in place, you will want to make sure NOT to use your rear wiper. If you will be using a rack very frequently, you might be interested in the Thule Raceway, part # TH9001. The Raceway uses 4 locking ratcheting cables that attach the rack to the vehicle, instead of the rather awkward 6 straps and buckles used by other racks. The ratcheting cables allow the rack to be installed or re

One tip is that the lower straps must be routed under the the rear bumper and attached to frame holes in the chassis. You might want to check out the Thule Raceway Trunk mount carrier, # TH9001, I recently had the chance to install this rack on a vehicle and it is the easiest to install and remove trunk mount rack that I have used. • The Thule Passage 2 Bike Trunk Mounted Bike Rack, item # TH910XT, is not recommended for your 2006 Chevrolet Equinox because the top straps should not be mounted directly to glass or plastic trim covering glass. I checked with both Thule and Yakima to see if there is a rear mounted bike rack available for your Equinox and at this time there is not. The best recommendation I can make at this time is a receiver hitch and a hitch mounted bike rack. A good combination would be the Hidden Hitch Cl
