There's plenty of room with this bike rack to open the trunk.



Saris Axis Tilting 2 Bike Rack Review - 2013 Toyota Corolla

Today on our 2013 Toyota Corolla, we'll be test fitting the Saris Axis 2 Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches, part number SA832B. Let's get started by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of the hitch. We'll line up the pin holes and thread in the anti-rattle bolt, tighten it up with a wrench, and then install the cotter pin on the other side. Now that we have the rack installed, you'll see that the ground clearance is about 10". The closest point from the back of the car is about 5-1/2", and the overall length from the back of the Corolla is about 13". As you can see, there's plenty of room to open the trunk with the bike rack installed. If that's not enough, you can also use the tilt feature. We can just pull the yellow T handle, and the bike rack tilts back. To bring out the cradle arms, loosen the thumb screw, move the cradle arms towards the mast, raise the cradle arm to the desired position, and then bring it back over the grooves and tighten the thumbscrew again.

Now that the rack is in place, youll notice that the ground clearance is about 9 and a half inches. The closest point from the back of the car to the rack is about 5 inches and the overall length added to the back of our Corolla is about 12 inches. Theres no doubt, you can open up the trunk with this bike rack and if thats not enough room, just pull the pin at the bottom of the mast and tilt the rack back, allowing you maximum access to the back of the Corolla. By removing the pin at the top of the mast, you can bring out the cradle arms of our rack. Youll see it adds about 32 inches to the overall length of the Corolla.

Today on our 2013 Toyota Corolla, we are going to test fit the Saris Freedom 2 bike rack for one and a quarter and two inch hitches, part number SA4412B. There's plenty of room here to open up the trunk and it's that's not enough, this rack also tilts back to allow even more access to your trunk. By pulling the lever at the top of the mast, you can swing out the cradle arms. With cradle arms out, the length of the car has been extended by about 41". Next, we'll undo the cradle straps.

Today on our 2013 Toyota Corolla we'll be test fitting the Thule Circuit roof-mounted bike rack, part #TH526. With the Thule rapid traverse roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by first placing the bike rack up onto the vehicle's load bars. Now with the skewer already removed, we'll position the front bracket around the underside of the front bar. We'll then lift up the cam action lever which will allow us to change the setting to fit the thickness of our load bar. Then at the rear, we'll go ahead and remove of the wing nuts which is going to allow us to position the rubber coated bracket around the underside of the rear bar. We'll then reinstall our black wing nut, keeping it loose at this time.



Thule Big Mouth Roof Bike Rack Review - 2013 Toyota Corolla

Today, on our 2013 Toyota Corolla, we'll be test fitting the Thule Big Mouth Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number TH599XTR. With the Thule Traverse Roof Rack System on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by first placing our bike rack onto our load bars. Now, starting at the front, we'll position the L brackets, which will go around the front and bottom side of the front bar. Then moving to the back, we'll loosen up one of the wing nuts and remove it and then position the black plate around the underside of the rear bar. We'll then re-install our black wing nut and then tighten it down. With the bike rack secured, we're ready to load up a bike. We'll need to undo the ratcheting straps on the front and back part of the carrier and then pull down on the black lever, which controls the frame clamp.



Swagman Upright Roof Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2013 Toyota Corolla

Today, on our 2013 Toyota Corolla, we'll be test fitting the Swagman Upright Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number S64720. With a Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicle's load bars. Starting at the front, we'll take the silver U bolts to go around the underside of the front bar, up through the pre-drilled holes of the head of the carrier. We'll then thread in our black wing nuts and tighten them down. Now, moving to the rear, this time we'll take the silver U bolt to go down through the pre-drilled holes of the bike rack and then use the black plate to go on the bottom side of the rear bar. We'll then take our wing nuts and thread that onto the silver U bolts and tighten them down. With the bike rack secured, we're ready to load up a bike. We'll undo the red straps at the front and rear of the carrier, and then we'll loosen up the frame hook.



Swagman Fork Down Roof Bike Rack Review - 2013 Toyota Corolla

Today on our 2013 Toyota Corolla, we'll be testing the Swagman Fork Down roof mounted bike rack, part number s64710. With the truly rapid traverse roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by first placing the bike rack up onto the vehicle's load bars. Starting at the front, we'll take the silver u-bolts to go around the underside of the front bar, up to the pre-drilled holes of the head of the bike rack. We'll then take the black wing nuts which we'll thread down onto the silver u-bolts, keeping them loose at this time. We'll then move to the rear and this time, slide the silver u-bolt through the predrilled holes of the bike rack and bring the black plate around the underside. We'll slide it over the u-bolt and then use our black wing nuts to tighten it down. With all of our hardware in place, we now can tighten them down all the way. With our bike rack secured, we're ready to load up a bike. We'll loosen up the skewer to make sure our forks can slide down onto it and well undo the trace trap.

Today, on our 2013 Toyota Corolla, we'll be test fitting the RockyMounts PitchFork Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number RKY0438. With a Thule Traverse Roof Rack System on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicle's load bars. We'll then remove the black plastic cover at the front, as well as removing the skewer, to expose the 2 Allen bolts. We'll then need to loosen up the Allen bolts to be able to position the gold bracket around the underside of the front bar. Once that's done, we can then thread our Allen bolts back through the holes and tighten it down with the Allen wrench. Then moving to the rear, we'll remove the wing nut and position the black bracket around the rear bar. We'll then lift up the tail end of the bike rack to be able to slide the gold bolt through the hole of the bracket.



Kuat TRIO Roof Bike Rack Review - 2013 Toyota Corolla

Today on our 2013 Toyota Corolla, we'll be test fitting the Kuat Trio Roof Mounted Bike Rack. Part number RU01. With the Thule Rapid Reverse Roof Rack System on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicle's load bars. We'll go ahead and start at the back and position the rubber coated black plate around the under side of the rear bar. We'll remove the black wing knot and slide the bolt through the hole of the bracket reinstalling our wing knot loosely. We'll then move to the front and take the rubber coated U bolts to go up around the bottom side of the front bar, up through the frigged holes of the head of the bike rack. We'll then take the black knots to thread down on onto the U bolts and use the silver wrench to tighten it down. With the front part of the bike rack secured, we'll then go ahead and go to the rear and finish tightening down the black wing knots. With the bike rack secured, we're ready to load up our bike.



SportRack Frame Mount Roof Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2013 Toyota Corolla

Today on our 2013 Toyota Corolla we'll be test fitting the Sportrack Roof Mounted Bike Rack, Part #SR4611. With a inaudible 00:00:08 traverse roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by first placing the bike rack up onto the vehicles load bars. Starting at the front, we'll take the rubber-coated u-bolts to go around the underside of the front bar up to the pre-drilled holes at the head of the carrier. Then take our black wing nuts that thread down onto the u-bolts leaving them loose at this time. We'll then take the rubber-coated black plate to go around the underside of the rear bar. We'll then insert the bolts into the holes and tighten it down using the wing nut. Once those wing nuts are tight, move back up to the front and finish tightening those down as well. With the bike rack secured, we're ready to load up a bike. We'll undo the straps at the front and rear of the bike rack and double-check to make sure our frame clamp is loose.



Rola Canyon Roof Bike Rack Review - 2013 Toyota Corolla

Today on our 2013 Toyota Corolla, well be test fitting the Rola Canyon Rooftop Bike Rack, part number 59404. Well begin our test fit by first pacing the bike rack up on to the vehicles load bars. Starting at the front, well need to position the two black brackets on the front side and back side of the front load bar. Well then insert the silver bolt to the pre-drilled holes at the bottom side of the brackets. Well place our nut inside of the designated slot and tighten it down using the included wrench. With the front secured, well go and repeat the same process for the back set of brackets.



RockyMounts TieRod Roof Bike Rack Review - 2013 Toyota Corolla

Today on our 2013 Toyota Corolla, we'll be test fitting the Rockymounts Tierod roof-mounted bike carrier, part number RKY1014. Now with the roof rack system already assembled on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the carrier onto the vehicle's cross bars. We'll then remove the front black plastic cap and loosen up the allen bolts at the rear of the carrier. In no specific order, we'll bring the rubber coated steel around the underside of the front cross bar, and the back black bracket around the underside of the rear cross bar. We'll then tighten down the front allen bolt to secure the front of the carrier to the front cross bar, and tighten down the rear allen bolts to secure the rear bracket to the rear cross bar. We'll then replace our front black plastic cap, and we're ready to load our bike.



RockyMounts TieRod Stretch Roof Bike Rack Review - 2013 Toyota Corolla

Today on our 2013 Toyota Corolla, we'll be test fitting the Rockymounts Tierod Stretch roof-mounted bike carrier, part number RKY1011. Now with the roof rack system already assembled on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the carrier onto the vehicle's cross bars. We'll then remove the front black plastic cap and in no specific order bring the rubber coated steel straps around the front cross bar, and the rear black bracket around the rear cross bar by loosening up the allen bolts. We'll then tighten up the allen bolt on the rear bracket to secure the rear of the carrier to the rear cross bar. We'll then tighten down the allen bolt in the front of the carrier to tighten down the straps around the front cross bar, securing the carrier to the vehicle. We'll then replace the front black plastic cap, and we're ready to load our bike.
