This carrier has a distance of 10 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest part the carrier and your Rav4 will have around 7 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole of the hitch to the furthest point out on the bumper. I walked out to our warehouse, assembled the Draw-Tite Hitch Cargo Carrier # 7507, and produced a short video showing the measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the top of the carrier. Yes, the SportRack Aero XL Cargo Box, item # A90275, will fit on your 2011 Toyota Rav 4, as long as you have a factory roof rack with cross bars that will adjust to 20 to 34 inches apart on center. You should check the factory cross bar diameter also, just to be sure that it is 4 inches or less wide. If your RAV 4 only has raised factory side rails that run front to back, you will need to add the Thule complete Crossroad kit, item # TH45050, to attach the box on your vehicle, see video link.
