Just attach each endcap to the shaft on the outside of the roller bracket, and then secure the endcap in place with a cap nut (or pal nut). Today we're going to review part no YR134-4. This is the Yates endcap for boat trailer rollers. This endcap will mount to either a keel roller, a spool roller or a bow roller on your boat trailer and it will provide additional surface area for improved boat-to-roller contact. This part is constructed of a heavy-duty rubber. It is made in the USA and this endcap will install on the same brackets that your keel, spool or bow rollers are mounted to. You will attach each endcap to the shaft on the outside of the roller bracket and then secure the endcap in place with a cap nut or a pal nut.
They do provide more surface area for better boat-to-trailer contact and it also helps to keep your boat from being scratched by sharp bracket edges. I'm gonna do a few dimensions on this, we'll do the overall diameter it's 3 1/2 inches. We'll do the width which is 1 1/4 inches. This endcap is designed to mount onto a keel, spool or bow roller that uses a 1/2-inch diameter shaft. And that should do it for part no.
