A lock core is part of Yakima and other manufacturer systems for changing out locks on their equipment to be keyed alike. If you already have Yakima products you can purchase Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores, part # Y07204, to change the locks out so they will all be keyed alike. This is done with a control key.
