Today we are going to install Yakimas 44 inch fairing, part number Y07048. The fairing is designed to redirect air up and over your roof rack to help keep wind noise down. The fairing is designed to fit Yakima round crossbars. It installs quickly and easily without tools. The Yakima fairing is also covered by a lifetime warranty. Now it is time to put it together. The first thing we are going to do is take our mounts and install the pads. These pads will protect the roof of the vehicle from damage from the fairing. We will go ahead and repeat the same process for the other three mounts. Next we will take our clips and fit the fairing into the clip. The mount here with the square hole for our carriage bolt needs to go on the outside and our mounts without the carriage hole go in the center. 0:54

Make sure you line up the hole with the hole in the mount. Once we have our mounts into position, we will take our push pins and secure the fairing to the mounts. All you have to do is push them in and they will snap into place. We are going to take our fairing and fit it over the front crossbar of our roof rack. Just open the mounts up and fit them around the crossbar. Now we will take the fairing and center it on our roof rack. Now we will take our carriage bolt and it through the top of the mount on the outside edge of the fairing. Take our hand knob and tighten it up just ever so snuggly on the underside. We will go ahead and tighten them down until we get the fairing resting on the roof of the vehicle. And that does it for the Yakima roof fairing.
