- To install the Yakima Foam Blocks, # Y04055 on a naked roof follow these steps:
First, snap the blocks onto the gunwales, two on each side, about a third of the way down from each side.
Next, clear the roof of any debris and make sure the bottom of the blocks are clean. Load the canoe on the car with the bottom pointed up and the blocks pointed towards the roof. Make sure to evenly distribute the weight. Adjust the blocks as needed.

It will fit on naked roofs with no roof rack, round bars, square bars, and most OEM bars for vehicles that do have roof racks.
