All right, today on this 2010 Kia Optima, we're going to do a test fit of Yakima's Big PowderHound Ski or Snowboard Carrier. This is part number Y03082. We already have one half of the ski rack already installed to give you an idea how it looks like. Now, we'll go ahead and put the other one and show you how it's installed. Now, we got our ski rack already assembled per the instructions and we got the clamps partially in place, so let's go ahead and put them on the bar. We'll tilt the ski rack over to one side so we have access to the nut and we can go ahead and thread it down with the provided bolt.
Then we'll simply move over to the other side and do it one more time as we clamp down the clamp that is closest to the front door. Then we'll go to work on the other side. Drop in the bolt. All right, we'll snug up the bolt. Go back to the other side and do it one more time.
Okay, our ski rack is installed on the roof rack and that's how it looks. Now, let's go ahead and load up some skis. All right, tilt up our ski carrier. We just push up on the top half of the button and we'll pop them up. We'll take our skis and put them into place.
Okay, we got our skis loaded. Let's go ahead and just push them down and clamp them into place. With that, our skis are already loaded up and ready to go. With that, that will finish it for our quick test fit of part number Y03082, the Big PowderHound from Yakima, on our 2010 Kia Optima.

Generally Speaking... I have bought several things from etrailer.com (2 towing hitches, a roof rack, snowboard rack, bike rack, rooftop cargo box, wiring for hitch mount, etc.). The products are great (brand names like thule, yakima, and others) and are priced very well. The site has all sorts of info for figuring out which items will fit your vehicle and then provides guides for installation. The guides are not factory ones, but ones written by real people who have installed the very same thing. The site also tells you which other items you might need in tandem for proper installation. The shipping was very quick, I even got upgraded to faster shipping for no extra cost this last order (bonus since I would have been just fine to have gotten it in 2 weeks rather than 1 at Christmas time). I got emails every step of the way: confirmation of order, shipped with tracking info, and a final email from an actual person telling me that UPS informed them that the item was delivered to my door and that they wanted to verify. They'll e-mail you to ask you to fill out surveys, but it's not much to ask when compared to the horrendous experiences I've had with other retail sites that have asked me for comments. I'll take a minute or two to help out a company that has enabled me to haul, pull, and play by outfitting my cars for years. 4814
