Leaf springs are an integral part of your trailer suspension system. The slipper spring is suspended at one end by a hanger that attaches to the eye. The other end slips into a hanger or, in the case of tandem-axle or triple-axle systems, into an equalizer. To determine the type of hangers or hanger kit you need, you must know the specific type of leaf spring you have, as well as your axle diameter and capacity. Depending on the hanger kits used with them, springs can be configured to work for single-, tandem- or triple-axle applications.
Please Note: To ensure proper axle alignment and suspension performance, leaf springs should always be replaced in pairs.

Today well be looking at part number WID2, the Two-Leaf Slipper Spring for 2,000-lb Axles.When ordering a new spring for your trailer, there are a few things you do need to know first. This spring measures 27 3/8 inches long by 1 inches wide. You will need to know the spring half-length, which is measured from the center of the eye mount to the center of the spring here at the leaf bolt. And this spring has an 13 -inch half-length. One final thing you will need to know is the height of the spring and that is measured from the center of the eye mount to the top surface of the spring and the slipper part. And from that line well measure to the spring surface here at the leaf bolt.
And this spring has a 4 -inch height.Youll notice that it does have two leaves within it giving it the ability to support 1,000 lbs. When you multiply that by two per axle, that will give you your 2,000-lb total spring capacity.With the 9/16 mounting bolt hole, there is a nylon bushing within it and that bushing will help to prevent metal on metal contact while the spring is mounted on the trailer.And that does it for part number WID2, the Two-Leaf Slipper Spring for 2,000-lb axles. .

Fast shipping, excellent quality and ease of ordering make etrailer the place to shop for all your trailer needs. I haven't installed all the items but will do so when the weather turns favorable. All items are exactly as ordered and should present no problems installing them. My only suggestion would be to secure the slipper springs more securely within the large box. In transit movement which must have caused the springs to move, allowed them to mash the smaller box and spilled out some of the smaller items which, luckily, were not lost. I will shop with etrailer again in the future.10883
