Winner International Wheel Club Review

Video Transcript for Winner International Wheel Club Review

Alright, today we are going to show you part number 490 from Winner International. What we have here is their Wheel Club. And basically what this is, is a nice security device you can put on any trailer or ATV or any other vehicle you want to put this on and keep from going anywhere. The wheel club will actually fit between 13 inch and 16 inch wheels. The overall maximum tire size is going to be 28 inches and about 9 inches in width, overall. We will go ahead and show you a typical application of how this works.

OK, the first step to install is to make sure that you have the assembly unlocked. When it pops up you know it is unlocked. Take it apart. Take the key out. Now, we will go install the red part. Now, for this to work, the arms on the red part here have to be fully extended. Otherwise, the silver bar will not be able to fit through the other side. Once you have it the way you want it, go ahead and install the silver bar. Pull it in as tight as you can. And then you push down on the lock here. As you can see, we have it installed and the wheel is pretty secure, definitely cannot pull a trailer anywhere. And also, what also seems like on certain models that could be an added bonus, is that the dust cap itself is covered up. So, in other words, nobody can take the dust cap off , take the spindle nut off, take the whole wheel off and still have the other three to pull the whole trailer with. And there you have it for part number 490 from Winner International, the Wheel Club.

Etrailer is an excellent company to deal with, fast service, fair prices. The Wheel Club leaves one feeling as though he has just ate a good dinner at a nice restaurant, but was not offered any desert or coffee after the meal... All of the companies offering this type of device say you need a plate to cover the lug nuts to prevent removal of the wheel. The plate on this device is too small to be of any use. I was easily able to undo all lugs with a standard craftsman 1/2" drive socket. They need to make the plate big enough to obscure the lugs, this would not add to the cost. The lock itself should be welded to the device. I can't see how it is attached, but I would bet that it is only pressesd in. This device is OK, however I will weld on a bigger plate even if it voids the warranty. I knew it was merely a detterent for theft, but the small plate and light duty lock are elementary at best. I saw this in the add for the product, and yes, I bought it, it will deter a stupid thief, and most are stupid, so I guess I will use it, and just keep a close eye on the trailer.25740

The Club Trailer Wheel Lock We found the Club easy to install. The quality appears to be excellent. We would recommend it for anyone to have peace of mind that their trailer isn't being "borrowed" while you have it in storage.4884

  • Can Wheel Lock Prevent Vehicle From Being Towed and Can It Fit Mitsubishi Gallant and Small Trailer
  • Depending on which wheel The Wheel Club - Tire and Wheel Lock, part # W1490, is mounted to will determine if a car can be towed. If the vehicle's non-drive wheels or wheels that are not powered by transmission are locked then this would prevent the vehicle from being towed. For example on a front wheel drive car, like your Mitsubishi Galant, if you were to put the wheel lock on the rear wheels, this would prevent the car from being towed by a traditional tow truck that tows the vehicle by lifti
