You will appreciate the heavy-duty aluminum, diamond-tread construction of this cargo carrier that is designed to support heavy loads with a reinforced cargo base. Merely attach the carrier to your 2" trailer hitch and receiver; however, a receiver pin is not included.

Video Transcript for UWS 48 Inch Cargo Box for Cargo Carrier Review
Today we are going to show you the 48 inch standard chest for UWS Cargo Carrier, part number UWS01022. UWS’s 48 inch standard chest is a lockable box that is designed to fit inside their cargo carrier, part number UWS03511. Both the carrier and the chest are also available in a powder coat black finish. The black aluminum cargo carrier is UWS03517 and the black chest is part number UWS01062. 0:32
The box measures 48 inches long, 20 inches wide and 20 inches deep for a total storage space of 11.1 cubic feet. The box is constructed of polished aluminum tread plate and, because it is aluminum, it is guaranteed not to rust. The box is made in the USA and features a one year warranty. Here you can see UWS using full length welds along the panels of the box. There are two lift latches on the front to release the lid. The one of the left side of the box has the lock cylinder. The heavy duty gas shocks, again, help you open the lid and hold it upright at a full 90 degrees to make accessing the box easy. The inside of the lid is insulated and filled with foam. And there is a film stripping around the edge to help keep some moisture out of the box. Along the back side of the box is a piano hinge that runs the full length of the box. 1:27
Now we will show you what the box looks like when used in conjunction with the UWS cargo carrier. The box s right into place inside the carrier. Because of its aluminum construction, it is very lightweight. Even one person can handle it easily. The box fits nicely into place on the carrier. And, as you can see, there is plenty of storage room. Inside is an actuating arm that connects one hinge to the other, so that one hinge will open the box. When locked, the cylinder prevents the left hinge from opening and, because the two hinges are connected with the actuating arm, neither hinge can open. There is plenty of space inside for safely carrying whatever cargo you need to. And because the box is made of aluminum, it is going to hold up better than a steel box would again road salt and the elements. Though the box fits nicely in the carrier, you should still use a set of tie-downs to secure it. And there you have it for the 48 inch standard chest for UWS cargo carrier, part number UWS01022.

This carrier has a distance of 10 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest part the carrier and your Rav4 will have around 7 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole of the hitch to the furthest point out on the bumper. - In order to determine if the UWS Cargo Carrier, # UWS03511, or any trailer hitch mounted accessory will fit your 2011 Honda Pilot Touring Edition, you will need to measure the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole out to the distance required to clear the rear bumper.

- There is not a cargo carrier light kit specifically designed for use with the 23x51 Aluminum Cargo Carrier, but there is an option. The Cargo Carrier Light Kit, # 52014, would work well. You would need to mount each light on the carrier upright braces, and make sure to leave room to install the wire harness connectors on the back of each light when mounting.
